On June 1, I was at Waterford Shopping Center to do some errands. I started feeling hungry and decided to try Bona Pizza since I wanted pizza and had never tried them before. They have their menu posted on the window so that you can decide if you want to go inside or just keep walking, which I appreciated. Sometimes it's a bit awkward having to go inside where you're inevitably greeted and then, after saying, "I'm just looking," are watched while you stand there deciding--only to decide NOT to stay and order! This way, you don't clutter up their interior footprint (and it's a smaller establishment with only three or four tables, I think), and you don't have to feel as a goldfish in a bowl while you make up your mind. I decided that I'd get a 12-slice pizza so that I could eat it over several days and not have to cook or go grocery shopping (AND burn gas!). So I walked inside and was instantly greeted by two young men standing up front. (I think they were doing something on the computer, trying to figure out a new program or something.) Anyhow, one of them asked what he could get me, and I ordered. He said it would be about fifteen minutes, so I walked to a table and sat. Now, since I'd never had their pizza before, I decided to order a combination. Combination pizzas, for me, are good measuring sticks. If a pizzeria can do a good combo, then the rest of their pizzas are probably good, too. The two young men upfront went into the kitchen to make my pizza. Another two men came out. I wasn't greeted by them, but they were on the phone, I'm guessing with some computer-tech help line because they were very definitely talking about some new program that wasn't working correctly. I only mention this because I think some people would get bristly because they weren’t greeted by the newcomers, but, well, I was editing my latest book on my phone, and they were obviously busy trying to figure out some wonky software (ugh! SO been THERE before!), it was no biggie to me! Before I knew it (EXACTLY fifteen minutes later!), one of the first young guys brought the pizza right to my table and thanked me with a kind smile (the "thank you" was verbal and punctuated with the smile). I got home, and the pizza was hot and WAY crammed with toppings. I took two pictures of it in the box (pretty much the same shot, but one is a little closer to show the toppings while the other is meant to show the size) before sampling. And, wow, was it good! Really. And it makes great leftovers, too. Seriously, here it is June 5, and I'm still having leftovers, and it's STILL good. (I just put some pieces in my air fryer and hit the Reheat button, which takes only five minutes. In five minutes, I have a couple slices that are just as good as the day I ordered them!) So, yeah, I'm pleased with their Combination (I mean, LOOK at the SIZE of that meat and how packed the toppings are!), and I'll be going back to try some other menu items. They have more than just pizza, of course, including calzones and salads, and I look forward to trying something different next time. Great job, Bona Pizza. And thanks for a great Combination pizza!

5/2023 I had to Yelp this place out. First time here. I have tried their pizza before at work and needed to come and investigate the facility. In South San Jose Ca. Next time you come around to visit family or friends make sure you stop by and visit this Bona Pizza because it was simply SPLENDID. The half Chicken Pesto and Half Spicy Chicken was mouth watering and very well made. Facility is small and cozy for the quick bite. The parking lot is HUGE. In some big Plaza like surroundings. CVS Pharmacy, Sushi place, Taco Bell and some sweet cakes and pastries merchants around. A big shopping center to handle all of those specific cravings your belly is having. The young man Jimmy was 5 star customer service. He not only recommended I try the half and half style pizza's but also gave me the respect and classy care to wait in my car while they cooked it up and brought it to me. The menus are HUGE. The folded paper menu's were well made and designed to show everything they have front and back. Calzones, and Pizza and deserts and salads. Take your photos on your cell phones. It helps to explain your reviews and why they are 1 star to 5 star. So many of you love to write and write words without a single picture?? Just do it!! 7/2023 Today was a Combo Pizza and Chicken Calzone day. OMG! The chicken calzone was screaming and oozing with garlic sauce and sooooo DELICIOSO! Muy Bueno!! I never had a calzone before and this will be the beginning of adding to my Italian food choices. Service was great, fast and ready for pick up. Their restaurant was spotless clean inside. I went in to pay for it and they carried the boxes over to my car and put on the passenger side where I asked. Excellent service and great cooking on those Calzones and Pizza's. Stop going to Mountain Mikes, Little Ceasars, Pizza Hut or Roundtable. Try out Bona pizza.

Bona Pizza Review – Large Combination Pizza I recently ordered a large combination pizza from Bona Pizza, and I must say—it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Pizza Appearance & Ingredients As you can see in the photo, the pizza came out looking picture-perfect. It featured a generous amount of toppings, including: Pepperoni Sausage Mushrooms Black olives Green bell peppers Everything was evenly distributed, and nothing looked sparse or overly greasy. The crust had a beautiful golden-brown edge and was thin and crispy, offering the perfect base for the loaded toppings. Taste & Quality What stood out immediately was how fresh everything tasted. The crust was crisp but not overdone, and the cheese was perfectly melted with no excess oil pooling on top a rare and welcome touch. Each bite was a balance of flavors—the savory sausage and pepperoni paired wonderfully with the umami of mushrooms and the slight crunch from the bell peppers. The olives added a touch of saltiness that tied everything together beautifully. Price & Service The pizza was very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and portion size. It easily serves a group, and the value is unbeatable. The service was awesome prompt, friendly, and efficient. Despite being made fresh, the pizza was baked and ready in a flash, without compromising on quality. Final Verdict: Bona Pizza nailed it with this combination pizza. From the perfectly baked thin crust to the abundance of fresh toppings and great service, it was an all-around fantastic experience. If you’re in the mood for a classic, well-executed pizza with top-notch ingredients and no greasy mess, this is the place to go.
