Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in San Jose

I went through the drive thy at store number 1101694 located at 655 Coleman Ave. San Jose California at approximately 9:18pm.

The cashier who took my order is named Jesslin. When I placed my order he seemed irritated. I drop up to the drive up window to pay. I handed Jesslin my Chase Bank Debit card ending in 4488. Authorization code 071900.

He returned a food tray with the receipt, a milk shake and medium coke as well as two straws. I thought this was odd because he did not return my Chase Debit card. When he returned he handed a bag with my onion rings and burger. I asked him where is my card. He claimed he provided it.

I used the flashlight on my phone to check my car and outside around my car. No card found. I asked him again where is my card. He told me to pull around to the front of the store.

A few minutes later he came out and again told me he provided the card with the receipt. I told him I needed to speak with the manager. He called the manger and spoke with him then handed me the phone. I explained to the manager what had happened. He asked to speak with the employee again. The employee took my number and I haven't heard a word from anyone at Carl's Junior.

I will be reporting this crime to San Jose Police and to the Frauft department at Chase Bank because the employee never returned my card.

I don't know what's changed at Carl's JR in the past year or two, but the food has really gone downhill. It used to be one of my favorite fast food burgers. I've always loved the Western and double Western burgers, Guacamole Burger, Famous Star. The last 3 visits I've ended up throwing them away after a few bites. They just don't taste good anymore but I can't put my finger on why. Only thing I can think of is they've changed where they source there beef or something? But having said that, I've also always been a big fan of the Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich, and I had that on my last visit and it sucked too, and only ate half since I was starving before throwing the rest away. I haven't been a big fan of their sides since they got rid of the crinkle cut fries ages ago. But they seem worse as well. I've even tried multiple locations thinking maybe it was just the 2 locations by my house, but just as bad elsewhere. Service is still fine. They've always been one of the most expensive of the chains but the burgers have always been worth it, at least until recently. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this location! For many years I’ve come to this place HOPING AND WISHING ON A MIRACLE none of the workers feel like being rude. And I’m only talking about the women. They speak to you so rudely and I’ve watched these “women” (and I’m being nice) I’ve watched them snatch money and hand it back with attitude. Laughing over the intercom so People literally repeat there order 3 times. Or slams her little drive through window to make her feel cool or entitled because she’s hiding the fact she hates her job.
