Holy wow, this was AMAZING barbecue! The restaurant is smaller, and really sweetly appointed. Super cozy, very clean. A note on the menu: there are traditional American barbecue items, but also Korean barbecue items. The food was clearly made upon order, so it did take a few minutes -- no more than 12 minutes, but that's great because it's not fast food. Portions are crazy generous, even a hungry person won't leave unsatisfied, and you'll likely have a second meal to take home. We paid $16 per sandwich, and roughly $2 per soft drink. I didn't notice if they serve beer & wine, so if that's important to you, better call. The barbecue sauce on the King sandwich was sweet (not too sweet) with a milder spice; the meat was very well prepared, and the sandwich roll was actually a better quality, fat baguette, all very tasty. I'm thrilled to have discovered CJ BBQ, and will definitely come back.

Such a great pork rib sandwich. I’ve been coming here for years and its always my go to order. Also, the sweet potato fries are crispy and always tasty. The lady in front can be kind of stingy with the fries, dipping sauces and portions of food on occasion but it’s all still great flavor. It can be pretty pricey, customer service just isn’t the best but the flavor of the food out shines all that for me. The pork rib meat on the sandwich is tender, smokey and chopped up perfectly. The bbq sauce is one of the best bbq sauces I’ve tried and the top quality bread just is the cherry on top.

So this is definitely a take out place and not a place to dine in. The interior is clean, but there is no public restroom. So you'll have to use toilettes in order to clean your hands. The staff is friendly, so that is a plus. The downside is that their Korean ramen is expensive and a small portion. It wouldn't be too bad if the flavors were great, but I kept thinking this was an afterthought. I'll give it a try one more time to confirm. Really didn't want to post this review since the owners seem nice, but it is what it is.

Been going here for over 12 years. Love the food, the price is fair, and the interior is always clean. The bbq sauce is to die for!!

With that said. There is zero customer service from the owner. She never smiles and always looks upset. That still isn't a reason for me to give it 2 stars. So why the 2 stars you ask ?

I blame the hours. I've been there 5 times in the last 3 weeks (21 days)!! Its almost noon today and there is no one inside even though it opens at 1130am. The previous 4 times has been the same thing. Twice I went around 130ish and it was closed. Either update the hours or stay closed. To give a business 5 chances in 3 weeks is more then fair in my opinion. There is zero reasons now for me to waste my time to go there or to even call before hand. Just list your hours and everyone would be happy!

Minus 3 stars for that. Can't really give any more stars to a place who isnt open during their said business hours to earn more stars. Need to be open to earn those stars. I'll continue to check on my way home if they stay true to their hours and perhaps update the review.

But overall if they're open, good little bbq spot ! Takes a awhile to get the food out, but it's...

We’ve been coming here for years but this place has really lost its touch. The woman who owns this place closed up shop on us at 2pm talking about she closes every day from 1:30pm until 4:30pm to pick up her son. Mind you there was no sign on the front of the building saying that. The sign says they open at 11:30am and she is always late to open. I mean always. She never answers the phone when I want to order. She’s always in a bad mood. I don’t think she likes to work at all. The bbq is not all that great when she makes it. She also didn’t have plates for us when we came in to eat. It seemed like she was rushing us out. As for the male owner, you can tell he takes pride in his work and his restaurant. He is amazing and always takes care of my family...
