Happened to host close family for a Vietnamese themed dinner on Christmas eve and were left impressed with what Green Lotus has to offer. We called them up and it took a bit to get the entire order placed attributing to the number of items and the amount of inquiry/questions that we had while doing the needful.
We ended up ordering (as you would see from the pictures) an array of spring roles, eggplant dish, noodle salads, milk tea and a few more. I drove in to pick up the order and when i reached there they were waiting for me to arrive so that they could as well at that time prepare the milk tea fresh and not something that was prepared and kept for a while. While we had paid for this on the call , we forgot to take care of the tip and the folks there didn't bother to mention that as well. I made sure to do another transaction just so that we could address that then and there :). Very courteous folks who definitely care a ton about their customers.
Each and every item was tried and eventually finished leaving us with nothing but empty boxes at the conclusion of the dinner :) . Yummy, precisely done and a very unique flavor that was just too good.
It was an overload of Vietnamese food for quite some time and hopefully we can make a trip...
Read moreMy friend took me there to celebrate my birthday. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and parking was not at all difficult. The ambience is very basic, no frills. Food was DIVINE and portions were generous. Prices were reasonable. Here's what we ordered with my reviews and star ratings: BBQ "Pork Rolls" * It was the perfect combination of soft and crunchy, with a burst of flavors (mint and basil) and fresh vegetables. The dipping sauce was also delectable. Vietnamese Sweet and Sour soup * Loved it myself. Although if you don't like sweetness, don't order this one. Sauteed crunchy "Fish" with Lemongrass and Pepper. ** Very tasty, but a bit dry. Chicken and Mushroom fried rice * this was super delicious as well. Just make sure to order a curry with gravy to go with this stir fried rice.
I will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant with my family and friends, many times over :) Well worth a visit (and more) if you are looking for delicious, vegan food. They have a whole book of dishes to choose from, you won't be disappointed for...
Read moreFor a Thursday lunch time, they were starting to get full, plus, take out was bustling. We were in the sea of Vietnamese restaurants and we wanted to take my friend's mom who was visiting to try vegetarian Vietnamese food. We ordered egg roll and Green Lotus egg roll. Both had a kind of taro filling with a crispy outer layer, quite tasty with dipping sauce and wrapped with lettuce and mint leaves. We ordered crispy oyster mushroom, nice texture and flavor. We had crispy tofu as well, good texture. The shrimp cake was nice fried sweet potato with "shrimp" on top. A favorite was a combination porridge, it had a lot of flavor and texture along with the rice. It went well with the fried stuff. We ordered a crispy chow mein, it is pretty close to a non-vegetarian chow mein. We also ordered an eggplant with tofu, it had a nice sauce, good texture. All 7 of us had a nice opportunity to sample the variety of foods available, it gave us another restaurant to eat with our vegetarian and/or...
