Well I normally don't wander from the norm for meals, but once I love to experience different foods. Today we ended up at the Costa Alegre bc we wanted to try out that location. When we get to the plaza on Monterey Rd we realize that the entire parking is designated with these make shift signs for Jess's Place. For now I'm intrigued why there is so much arrogance an entitlement to just use the plaza space and not just be neighborly. Made a few turns around the lot and ended up parking near the edge where there was no visible make shift sign. This peaked my interest and making it a note to look them up for the future.
Now, as I leave and start my track home I see this beauty on my car. I guess I am not welcomed to park anywhere that is not at this specific establishment. I understand there are parking rules but I honestly have officially been turned off in even trying them now. Sorry for even coming near your business. I do understand the importance of a business storefront but for the entire lot to be claimed the way it is is ridiculous and if I wanted to share the business plaza as a Tennant I would request the City of San José to provide any public record to be provide all agreements to that location to make sure everyone is being respected as fairly as possible, especially the customer's who are being threatened to get towed or...
Read moreWe visited a Peruvian restaurant for the first time and received a warm welcome. They could tell we were new, so they took extra care of us. Since most of the staff spoke Spanish, we had someone who spoke English help us with our orders. They recommended the Peruvian drink Chicha Morada, which we loved and ordered. For starters, we tried Tamales and Choros a la chalaca (Mussels). The tamales were cooked perfectly, and even though it was our first time trying mussels, we enjoyed them, they get all the taste from toppings of onion, tomato, and lemon. Not easy for first timers to savor the raw taste and look of mussels. After seeing good reviews, we decided to try the Ceviche De Pescado. It turned out to be marinated seafood, not cooked, but surprisingly, we enjoyed its unique citrusy flavor. It was well-prepared, and we were glad we tried something new that didn't disappoint. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend trying Peruvian...
Read moreSomeone told me the pollo a la brasa Peruvian chicken was exactly like to the one in Peru. They clearly have not been to Peru. Worst Pollo A La Brasa ever. The place is low ended and seems not taken care. It is like walking into a restaurant on the slum side of Lima which is difficult to find here in the US. General quality of taste in the food is bad And Overpriced. We ordered Peruvian chicken, Chaufa, french fries, lomo saltado and it was just horrible. Think of eating at your friends house when you were young and his parents are terrible cooks. Will never...
