The manager Luis Rodríguez made it a very unpleasant experience. I proceeded to place my order for a family meal with half chicken and half tenders. He rudely responded that they don't do half and half. I had to choose either chicken OR tenders and pointed to the menu on the wall as of I were a child. The tone in his voice made me want to just walk out but I bit my tongue and placed a different order. He continued with an ugly tone in his voice that should not be allowed. Especially by a manager.
He asked if I wanted condiments for which I stated I wouldn't need any. (There was a 2nd employee standing there and heard me say this)
He handed me my food and I left. I drove about a half mile away and something told me i better check my order. He forgot to give me the biscuits so I had to drive back.
He asked what was wrong and when I told him that the biscuits were missing he immediately got frustrated and looked at me as if it was impossible that he got the order wrong. He even looked at the menu board as if to try and prove me wrong. When he realized it was his error he grunted really loudly. Granted, at that point his loud grunt was at himself for getting it wrong but you don't do that in front of customers.
He gave me an extra biscuit, but that was a feeble attempt to make up for such a horrible experience.
To top things off, the employee that was standing there since the first time when I told them I didn't need condiments, proceeded to throw condiments in my bag....
Read moreI moved to this area about a year ago and the Santa Clara KFC was less than a quarter mile from my apartment. My wife and I have loved KFC since our childhood. However, after just a few visits to the 552 Santa Clara, we were no longer fans of your products and had decided not to purchase KFC again. The final straw came when the new chicken nuggets were released and we were excited to see how a chicken restaurant would prepare a chicken nugget. When we got the nuggets, they were cold and hard and completely impossible to eat. After that KFC was permanently off the menu.
Recently I spent some time in a rehabilitation center in Campbell, CA and I was allowed to eat whatever I like. I decided to try KFC which was less than a block away at 3144 South Bascom. The chicken was hot and fresh, correctly seasoned and served in an efficient and courteous manner. I was impressed by the speed of the service and the quality of the product. Simply put, it was the KFC of my childhood and not the poor quality food at 552 Santa Clara.
After my discharge, I decided to give 552 Santa Clara another chance and unfortunately they did not meet the challenge. The chicken was obviously old and had been sitting around for several hours at the least. Shame on you 552 Santa Clara pay attention to your standards and remember you represent a well established product with an outstanding brand reputation. It's time you remember this and raise...
Read moreThis KFC could really use a makeover. Deliciously delectable chicken, but the building is in some disrepair that makes accessing (& even finding) the KFC more difficult than it should be... As of this posting, the main front entrance is still broken & all chicken cravers have to go around to the back entrance that faces the parking lot to even get inside. The bathrooms could be cleaner, or at least have soap & toilet paper 😨, and the SIGN that says "KFC" definitely needs to be fixed so that it LIGHTS UP again. If you don't know exactly where it is, this building is impossible to find from the road at night. 😣
Other than that, great chicken👍. The original and crispy flavors never seem to disappoint, and the biscuits are always soft & fluffy. (And if they're not, just ask the manager & he'll give you fresh ones.) He (night manager) is really cool, and definitely focuses on excellent...
