I requested a free cup of ice water but received a bottle of water for which I was charged $1.00 when I complained cashier just blew me off said we don't offer free water. After that I asked to refund entire $11 meal, was also refused a refund. Continued to protest until after 10 minutes Chinese owner - male age 50+ came to counter & after much additional hassle about cup of free ice water he finally gave me the bottle of water for free. AFTER waiting another 15 minutes, owner finally brought meal to my table. Food was already 1/2 cold. If you are not happy with something at this place, the staff and owner really don't care. This is the worst experience ever, over something that should be free.

The musubi trio is spam, chicken katsu, and BBQ chicken. If you're a fan of all three, it saves you $.40. Otherwise, just get the musubi you want instead. I will say this jawn slaps. It's no very shareable, the musubi, as cutting in destroys the structural integrity of the wrap, but yeah go for this one mate. The BBQ sauce is good. Definitely something you can be without but it does add a layer. Great service here as well. Would go again.

Busy spot on a Tuesday afternoon, but with outdoor covered seating to escape the blaring sun. It's a little pricier than their Daly City and Milbrae, but everything is pricier nowadays. Great food cooked to near perfection - Chicken Katsu and BBQ Shortribs were great! Will definitely return!

Please be very careful on what you order. You will receive less meat And have to pay more in this Restaurant. Customer service lady named shanika Is extremely rude about it. She told me it's not her problem on the portion size of the meat. She was not accommodating. She chose to argue with me instead of helping me. She also laughed about the situation. She told me that her manager was aware of the portion size. So again , they know that they are giving their customers less meat for more money. I've been a customer here for a long time, and I order pretty often. I had to bring back my plate multiple times. She also told me im the only one complaining about the side of my rib. I definitely dont like to be ripped off! And i feel bad for anyone getting taken advantage of by this restaurant. It's very very poor customer service on all their parts. They don't accommodate you even though you're paying more. To be honest, I would definitely go somewhere else. I never like to leave bad reviews and always give a benefit of dought but they're lost in their...

OK 5 stars down to 3 because ...

I went there today for a lau-lau and "no can" - they no got 'em.

I think they've given up on the lau-lau because it's a hassle and probably not too many people here on the mainland order them, and then probably a percentage of those who order them, don't like them because it's very, very different from Mainland food.

Kinda like the Mainlanders who'd try chewing sugar cane and then swallow ....

So yeah, you've lost your "Hawaiian" cred. But, is a real Hawaiian restaurant really even gonna fly on the mainland? A real place would have lau-lau, lomi salmon, poi, haupia, etc. I love me some poi. But it's just too different. Hell I don't even see taro chips on the regular here.

I grew up on those Hawaiian Sun drinks but - I avoid carbs and sugar these days and the memories are...
