Went in to pick up a customer order for Doordash. I asked nicely if I may use their rest room, as I was in dire need at that moment, and had been out doing deliveries for hours. Usually, when I ask to use the facilities on an order pick up, I am allowed. The girl I was about to collect the order from had a seriously bad attitude. I was told the use of their restroom was for "Paying Customers Only." I responded that I was there on behalf of one of their paying customers and that I had an urgency, and would that be alright? The girl behind the counter snapped back at me, "Well, you'll have to buy something first before you can use our restroom." (Who can think about what to order when your eyes are flooding cause you're about to lose control of your bladder?!!) The attitude she portrayed was nasty, arrogant and selfish. I had hoped she would have accepted my response, but even if not, her attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful, to say the least. I would have spoken with the manager or owner, except that my urgency was dire and I could not wait. I left to find another place to use a restroom. Seriously though, anyone with a nasty attitude like she showed towards me should not be working in a place where there is customer service. I have frequented this place as a paying customer before and have not used their restroom at those times. Though the food is delicious, my friends, family and myself will never eat here again, as we only support decent places who employ mature, friendly staff. This girl will not succeed in life if she does not improve her attitude. And shame on the owners for allowing her to stay on with them. There are several other La Victoria's in this city in which to dine. I suggest if anyone reading this get the same bad attitude while visiting this restaurant, they wrote a review and tell everyone they know to...
Read moreIt's not the old Tico Tacos, that's for sure. I went in to give it a try, being that, at least what I've known La Vic for is there homemade like tortillas. I ordered a carnitas quesadilla, which in my opinion, was a little pricey. The order was prepared relatively fast. When I picked the order up, the person asked me if I wanted salsa and I said yes, mild. She stuffed a couple of small containers of salsa in the bag. When I got out to my car, I peeked in the bag and found what looked more like a chimichanga, or in other words, a grilled burrito. All quesadillas I have had in the past were a tortilla folded in half with a lot of cheese and the meat, not a burrito style item. So I went with it and drove home. When I unwrapped the "quesadilla" at home I spread some of the pink colored "mild" salsa inside and rolled it back up and took a bite. Two things came to mind and I said to my daugter, "didn't I say mild salsa?" And, isn't this suracha (pardon the spelling) sauce and isn't suracha pretty spicy, not mild?" She agreed on both points. Needless to say the sauce was very spicy, to me, and didn't enhance the flavor of the carnitas, that was dry and flavorless. I guess I could at least say the flavor of the meat was mild, at best and was not the kind of cheesy goodness that I expected to get with a quesadilla. After all the root word of the item is quest, or queso which is Spanish for cheese, if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately I won't be returning, no matter how well known they are, or used to be known, for their homemade...
Read moreGreat spot for a burrito! I got the veggie burrito, amazingly built. No complaints. My oldest got the carne asada super burrito and he said it was the best asada he's had in years. And that boy knows carne asada. Lots of seating in this one and nice sunlight at the right time of day. Burritos came out super quick. They have horchata right up front and I regret not trying it. Tons of drinks in the cooler and soda fountain. Only drawback was 60 cent refills on soda fountain but I can understand due to the number of people in here all the time, you'd run out of soda real fast if everyone was refilling. Lucky for me they had a nice dispenser of water at the end of the counter so I was good to go after downing some Sierra mist. Make sure you try the orange sauce on the burrito, it is Amazing!!! And if you really love it, they sell bottles for you to take home. Can't add much to what others have said, La...
