Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in San Jose

The owner/manager is an absolute thief. I ordered two pizza’s for a birthday party for my stepson to be delivered to SCP paintball park over the phone and told him that I would not be available to receive them or be called since we were going to be playing paintball. I instructed him to have his driver leave the pizza’s at the equipment rental by checkin to the paintball park. I asked if he could add a $7 tip to my credit card for the driver since I won’t be there to give him cash when he drops off the pizzas. After 1.5 hours of no pizza I go back to my car to see that I missed several calls by door dash. He outsourced the delivery to door dash and told them to call me when they get there. He also didn’t tip the driver my $7 tip and STOLE the money which is highly immoral and illegal. The driver obviously couldn’t reach me so left with my pizzas. The owner/manager said he would have door dash refund me even though I paid them directly. I have never received a refund and had to drive and pick up the 2 pizzas AND PAY FOR THEM A SECOND TIME. I am now out $47 + $33 for the two $15 pizzas which were in addition made incredibly poorly. Avoid this store at all costs. It doesn’t look or taste like Papa John’s and the owner/manager is an immoral thief....

The only reason I give a One is because I got them to bring me another two pizzas. They are cheap. Everyone there is Indian. The world isn't lying, cheap. No business making pizza. Listen. U pay for individual toppings u expect to see that on your pizza. I ordered Papa John's because I figured how bad can you mess up a pizza? I'll tell u what. I have no reason to go to India and start selling Chinese food...it's not going to be right

Burnt, burnt, burnt. Both cheeses we're brownish-black. Dry!!! SAUCE IS WATERED DOWN! DOESN'T TASTE LIKE PAPA JOHNS sauce elsewhere.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it's all ducked up!! Save your love of Papa John's and don't order at this one.

Update: second set of mediums came and they looked just like the first; burnt black spots entire cheese, crust has mostly black color. nothing like Papa Johns' yummy crust I know this veteran deserves and everyone else for $25 a freaking medium 🍕 So I had to not eat again, and sent it back. I ordered from Papa John’s Pizza recently using the buy-one-get-one-free deal on Uber Eats, and honestly, it was a pretty solid experience. The delivery was smooth, and the pizza arrived warm and fresh — definitely appreciated that.

The pizza itself was tasty, with a good balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings. What really stood out to me, though, were the little extras. It came with their signature garlic dipping sauce, which added a great buttery kick to the crust, and a pepperoncini pepper on the side — a small touch, but a nice one that gave it a bit of extra flavor and personality.

All in all, Papa John’s delivered on quality and value. I’d say this place is part of what makes Monterey run when it comes to late-night or comfort food cravings. Just missing that last little something to hit a perfect 5 stars, but I’d definitely...
