Until my friends from SF came to the South Bay to slurp some pho, I didn't realize I'd been eating fake Vietnamese pho all along. As a Southern person, I absolutely love slurping noodles, and the Vietnamese pho in the Bay Area is truly outstanding, renowned across the U.S. The South Bay is a paradise for pho lovers, with many Vietnamese people making the pho both cheap and delicious. My SF friends were amazed at how incredible Vietnamese pho can be. Here's a list of pho spots I've compiled with all my noodle-slurping expertise: 💜Pho Kim Long, though not as good after its renovation, still reigns as the pho king of the Bay Area. It has lots of high-quality beef and is affordable. Pho Ha Noi has successfully expanded with multiple branches, more refined than Kim Long but less down-to-earth. Pho 54 Pho Dao Leung Noodle specializes in dry noodles and pork bone soup. Pho Mai has average flavors but shines with its extensive menu and 4 AM closing time. Yummy Yummy has many dishes besides pho that are delicious. 🌟In San Jose, the further south you go, the less likely you are to find a bad pho spot. 💜Hue Beef Noodle Soup: Hue Restaurant is the best, with many tasty snacks. Bún Bò Huế An Nam has a rich broth, sweet taste, large portions, and is quite spicy. 💜Chicken Noodle Soup: Turtle Tower was the legend of Bay Area chicken noodle soup... not as good as before but still decent, with tender noodles and a fresh taste. (Just realized all these places are closed! Sad face 💔) East Bay Chicken Noodle Soup Chicken Noodle Soup 88, cheap, large portions, good value. Chicken Noodle Soup Family, many items on the menu are delicious. Wing Wah Chicken Noodle Soup ☝️The above are more Cantonese in flavor. 👇The following are more Vietnamese in taste, with lots of spices and toppings, generous meat portions, and sweet broth, not purely chicken soup flavor. Also includes Vietnamese Hainan chicken rice. Phở Gà Nhà has a sweet broth, super large bowl, and good chicken rice. Phở Gà An Nam's chicken is cut into neat pieces, can be paired with fried rice noodles, quite unique. Hai Nam has惊人的肉量, many toppings, and fragrant fried shallots. Pho Ha Noi's chicken pho is also decent. 💜Crab Noodle Soup: Nam Thanh Bánh Canh 3 has delicious crabmeat udon, rich broth, great texture. Que Ta Banh Canh Trang Bang crabmeat udon seafood noodles. Bún Riêu (Tomato Crab Noodle Soup) is available at the highly-rated pho spots mentioned above, all good, but the best I've had was homemade by my Vietnamese friends, even better with fresh crabmeat, easier broth than beef pho. Check out my cooking account @斯纳的投食日常 for recipes. 💜Teochew-style Vietnamese Noodle Soup: Focuses on seafood and pork, noodles can be rice or egg noodles, includes wontons and BBQ pork, fried noodles are also delicious, more Cantonese in flavor. New Tung Kee Noodle (潮记) Hai Ky (海记) Don't forget to ❤️🌟➕ this treasure list! All addresses are in the footer image. #HiddenGems #BayAreaEats #SanFrancisco

The most accommodating, friendly, and delicious pho joint in the Bay. My friends and I are from San Jose and this is one of our favorites. My friend had her bachelorette party truly ESSJ style with her favorite spot being Pho 54. They went above and beyond to make sure she had a memorizable time. They allowed us to decorate BTS theme and even insisted playing their music on the tv! It was truly a tailored experience. We were so lucky to be treated so kindly. We will always promote and support Pho 54. Come here!

Was craving for a good pho after a visit to Houston where I was taken to a pho-nomenal pho place there! Was specifically looking somewhere that offers green onion oil (nuoc beo) as a condiment and Pho 54 came as one of the results. It did not disappoint! The storefront is unassuming and they're cash only. The broth and the meat are both tasty! Don't forget to ask for green onion oil, you'll thank me 😏😀

If you're in the mood for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, the pho at this restaurant is definitely worth a try. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted with friendly service and a warm welcome. The staff is attentive and always willing to help you choose the perfect dish to satisfy your cravings.

The pho itself is simply amazing - rich, savory broth, tender noodles, and plenty of fresh herbs and vegetables. The meat is cooked to perfection and adds an extra layer of flavor to the already delicious broth. Whether you're a fan of traditional beef pho or prefer chicken or vegetarian options, you won't be disappointed.

While the service and food are top-notch, the atmosphere could use a bit of work. if you're more interested in the food than the décor, this won't be much of an issue.

Overall, if you're looking for great pho and excellent service, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, the delicious flavors and friendly atmosphere will keep you coming...

I've been going here since I was a little kid. Instead of having desert, I would get a cool ballon. Haha. Now I'm all grown up now, I still like going to this place. The bowls are big and worth the price. The broth is flavorful but if you like your food bland, maybe this isn't your joint.

Some people get annoyed that their servers don't give them time to order. In a typical viet restaurant, people usually know what they want and they want to provide you fast and efficient service as possible. Just tell them you need a couple of minutes and they'll back off and give you space.

Some waiters are outgoing and some are shy but they're friendly overall. I remember I spilled a pot of tea and I tried to clean it up because I was so embarrassed. One of the waiter was nice enough to tell me he'll take care of it and reassured me that accidents happen.

This place has my approval and...

This place gives home style vibe. The pho is great. I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good pho spot, although I’ve tried a few places I really enjoyed the soup broth they make as well as they give you lots of greens to add to the soup and I love that. The people that work here are so friendly the first time I went in I was sick I had a mask on and ordered to go a kind older lady came and brought me a tea I had mentioned I was only there for a to go order so she didn’t have to worry about extra dishes and she said “I know it’s to go have some tea anyways” honestly I definitely needed and for that and the food I made this my to go pho spot and anytime I order a to go order they always provide a cup of ice tea or hot tea. The only down fall is it...
