I ordered a Pho Dat Biet. There's a few things I did not like. The noodle soup is supposed to come with "rare" steak, but when I got my bowl, it was well done. You have other menu items that says well done, but obviously this is not so authentic. The fatty beef is just to chew, and the other flank steak has the parts you can't eat. The tendon is huge chunk of tendon that's not chewable. You're supposed to have sliced tendon that is soft. Honestly, if you want really good Pho, this is not the place. I would have rated this higher, but there is a 15% gratuity added on for parts of 6 or more. On the receipt, they list a "Service Charge" fee which is 15%, but they don't tell you that, and some restaurants do charge some service fee that is not gratuity. Look, if you're going to charge gratuity automatically, put "GRATUITY" on the receipt, not a service charge. That's two separate things. I was in a rush so checked off the extra tip on the receipt, and didn't realize until later that I had double tipped (mind you my extra tip was 18% on top of the entire bill that included their gratuity and tax). This is scandalous on their part - looking for susceptible people who don't pay attention, and extra tips that are way more than the original bill price. So if you end up tipping again for whatever reason, you're tipping on top of the final bill that already includes the tip and tax from what I can tell. This is completely WRONG. Calculate your own tip off the food, and make sure to ask what the service...
Read moreAt Pho 21, you get your money’s worth. The flavors are typical of Vietnamese cuisine, but the portions are big. My wife and I came for a late lunch. I had the beef short rib, while my wife had the seafood pho. We also got the spring rolls for an appetizer. It’s a hefty portion of beef short rib you get. The meat slips off the bone, and is tender to the bite. The broth itself is that refreshing, herbaceous goodness you’d expect from pho. There’s a lot of noodles too, fresh and perfect texture. The seafood pho was equally delicious, lots of shrimp, squid, and scallops in it. They seem to get busy during peak hours. They have tablet where you can join a waitlist, but no staff was attending to it when we came. Nevertheless, we were seated immediately. They have call buttons for service, so you don’t have to be constantly turning your head to get someone’s attention. Service is prompt, and they also have a service robots that bring items to your table. Maybe next time we will be served by one of the robots. Parking is available but it might get crowded during peak hours. Overall, Pho 21 is a good option if you...

My dad also got the shaken beef with red rice and he really liked it.
