Starbucks — Restaurant in San Jose

Mobile pickup and in-person orders are taken outside to maintain social distancing and keep surfaces exposed outdoors where they will disperse more easily. This is rough in the heatwave right now (103 today), but the afternoon at least provides shade there. The drive through was ridiculously long (unsurprising with the heat), but our order was still completed pretty quickly, and the woman in charge of the orders out there didn't take long to notice our arrival (she may have been putting in the order before us, as they didn't have an outdoor register).

The woman who took our order made a point to check whether my mom meant the strawberry puree or the strawberry acai when she asked for strawberry in her tea, which was nice, and verified whether she wanted full sweetener or not due to the strawberries being sweet. Excellent diligence.

I've been here in non-covid times as well, and found it to be a pretty nice Starbucks - a little small, but not too crowded and comfortable to spend the time drinking and socializing. Not sure it would make a great working area, but if it's not too crowded you could use...

Came to Starbucks took the drive-through Shayla Tran was drive-thru assistant I was open to trying something different then just regular coffee there was three different coffees that were advertised and I asked her about all three of them she gave me good feedback and at the end I asked her what would you recommend for sweetness and she recommended me to a coconut milk and I believe it was blond and then she asked me if I wanted it hot or cold and I didn't know but then she said I see you're not wearing a sweater so you might want it warm to keep you warm that was nice of Shay to suggest that and that made sense paid attention to me verbally and physically once I was done ordering went up to the window and she told me if I didn't like it warm she would make me a cold one but to try out the warm one to see if I liked it that was also one of the other things that impressed me about her. Paying attention to the customer is key and that's what was shown to me here I will definitely be coming back to this Starbucks again to get a coffee. Thank you!

I ordered ahead a venti chai latte extra hot, and a cheese danish. I get there as I am rushing to get to work. When I arrive for my pick up.. my drink is sitting on the counter, out in the open (no stopper to keep my extra hot drink hot) and my cheese danish is on the opposite side of the drink. I gather my items and leave. Get to my car and noticed a large bite was already taken out of my danish! I was so upset. When I go back in to get a refund, I am met with the worker who is not apologetic at all. The store in my opinion is not clean, they don’t take any pride in the way the product is coming out and the customer service is horrible. He didn’t offer to make a new drink or anything complimentary nothing !!! I’ll never go back to this location. The store wasn’t even busy and there were two workers there so there was help. Seems like he cared more about his eyeshadow being perfect than the customer...
