Bar food has arrived!!

My wife and I came in the other day for the highly anticipated food menu debut and it was a hit! The menu right now is made up of small bite options, big bite options, and a variety of wings. (Breakfast on Sundays just started too)

We decided to get the Brisket Poutine from the ā€˜small bites’ menu and as a huge brisket fan this was right up my alley. The fries were piping hot, topped with gravy, and even came with a poached egg on top. The dish also came with a plentiful serving of brisket. Easily feeds two. Small is subjective hahah. Pairs well with any beer.

We also got the Fancy Smashburger and could tell that this might be the flagship item on the menu. The burger patty is a mixture of ground chuck (beef from Georgia) and brisket, topped with cheese, fancy sauce (think really good in&out sauce), and grilled onions. We split the burger but should have ordered one each haha.

Final item we ordered was the Sweet Thai Chili wings. They were piping hot, crispy, and drizzled with a sweet but hot (not too hot) Thai sauce. Would absolutely order again and have to explore the other options including Buffalo, lemon pepper, Cajun etc.

Overall, this is going to be a hit menu. It’s a local hangout where the beer is frosty, service is quick, and the bar food is a must. Well...

Stevie's Bar & Grill in San Jose isn't just a bar, it's a sanctuary for the soul and a paradise for beer enthusiasts. Each time I return to San Jose, Stevie's is my go-to spot, a reliable haven where the beer flows as freely as the good times.

With a draft beer selection that's second to none, Stevie's is like a grand library of brews, each one a story waiting to be savored. The attentive staff elevates the experience, making sure your glass is never empty and your spirits are always high.

The vibe here is electric yet welcoming, a perfect backdrop for the delectable snackable treats they serve. And if you're in a crunch for time, the adjacent laundromat turns a chore into a chance for relaxation – sip and savor while you spin and rinse!

Stevie's is more than a bar; it's a clever twist on the traditional, a gem that makes San Jose shine a...

Waited 30 minutes with our names on the pool tables to play. 2 different tables played 3 games between 2 people.

Put our names on the board but when it was finally our turn they made us play against them to ā€œwin the tableā€ and couldn’t play against each other.

Stupid rules. Someone good at pool can play all night and people just wanting to have fun can’t play with each other. People that win never have to pay if they keep winning. Bar should ban that. That’s how trashy bars play.

There’s also 2 boards you have to put your name down on both. Otherwise you might end up waiting more time for your specific table to finish. We were the only person in line with our name down for 25 mins, then someone put their name on the other table on a board we didn’t see and they played before us.

We ended up leaving...

Had a great evening though it is super loud in here and if a Raiders game very super loud. Bartender was friendly and good. She needed help with a Manhattan but this is a Coors light crowd though they have 20 tapas and 5 or 6 good craft beers. Food window is a separate deal and you pay separately. Nachos were good but I wish the chips were warm too. It's a nice place to drop in for a craft beer though it might seem like a biker or rough bar, it wasn't .
