Susie Cakes is our absolute favorite place to get dessert from (we’ve Doordashed from them on a whim SEVERAL times!) So when we were trying to figure out what dessert we wanted for our wedding it was a no brainer!

We really liked the at-home tasting kit they offer. We got to try out 4 different cupcakes and 2 cake slices for a very reasonable price. And we got to try them in the comfort of our own home where we could take our time and not feel pressured to choose something right away. They also discount the price of the tasting from your final cake order if you decide to go with them.

Our final order took some time to decide and I ended up making quite a few changes but they were very patient with all of my emails and answered all of my questions. We ended up going for a simply frosted tiered cake and our florist added some flowers for us on the day. It was fun picking different flavors for each tier and we even had one of them be their vanilla celebration cake because how often do you see sprinkles in a wedding cake? Our guests, especially the kids, thought it was very fun. We each got to have our favorite flavors there and even though my favorite was technically out of season, they still made it for me which I really appreciated.

The best part is that we have the option of eating our “wedding cake” any time of the year without having to freeze. We can always celebrate and remember our wedding with fresh delicious slices whenever we want.

GENDER REVEALED IN STORE.

on 09/01, myself and my wife have ordered the gender reveal cake by giving the gender envelope to the store staff. They dealt professionally by hiding the gender on the small preview screen with a color paper facing the customers. We were here to California on kind of baby moon trip and also plan for gender reveal.

On 09/02 4 pm, we came back to collect the cake. Since we didn’t pay any tip before , we did offer to pay the tip. Since the store staff couldn’t take the cash , she said she would have to put it on computer . We thought it would be a new invoice per her words and unfortunately had a look at the screen , where she brought up the existing cake order on the screen which revealed the GENDER for us. We were very disappointed as it ruined one of our life’s most important moment. We didn’t want to make any noise & left the store silently with disappointment. It took us a day to recover.

Just a note to the store manager , please train your staff carefully on these crunch situations and request not to blame the individual who did this.

Lesson learnt : Never order gender reveal cakes by ourselves. Always give it someone as there are always high chances of getting revealed...

This photo does not do this amazingly, beautiful, delicious, decadent cake any justice. This cake is the 'Summer Berry Cake'. This was a 6 inch cake, 4 layers and was enough for 7 adults to have seconds, thin slices.

I was so thankful that my father was extremely happy with this cake. In his words "Love, you always seem to pick the best cakes". Honestly all credit goes to Susie Cakes and this specific location. Guys this location has the best employees. I say this because I had trouble with the San Carlos location who were neglectful and careless to assist me when I placed my inquiry about this same cake, they never cared to respond to my email and when I called in the person who answered the phone was extremely rude.

I was desparate and I looked for the next available Susie Cakes to try this specific cake out and this location was a God send 🙏🏽. I made a phone call and spoke to a very nice woman, Rebecca and paid for my cake over the phone. When I arrived the team were wonderful. They greeted me and welcomed me in (my first time there) and everyone had a smile. The vibe in this place is amazing and radiant.
