This gelato brand is older than me ~ Shop in San Francisco was a well-known spot for many years. The old SF location has closed and will be relocating to Noriega St., but it might take another month or two to open. Meanwhile, the branch in the South Bay has been open for several years. You must try their lychee flavor! It tastes like real lychee, not the artificial stuff, with lychee meat inside. One bite takes you back to the riverbanks of Lingnan! The jackfruit flavor is amazing, similar to durian in its unique taste. Durian is a signature flavor; many people come specifically for it. • Guava is very special W Taro has a wonderfully fragrant taro flavor. Mangosteen is refreshing and unique taste if you're trying it for the first time. Sesame and red bean are also fantastic, super rich. You can taste the sesame seeds and the texture of red bean paste. They also have pandan, coconut, Thai tea, mango, and soursop flavors from Southeast Asia. All of them are delicious with no disappointments. You can ask the staff for samples before you buy. It's located in the plaza of Vietnam...
Read moreHonestly the best gelato in San Jose and maybe even in the entire Bay Area! Lots of tropical fruit flavors, and all come with real fruit inside. For fruit flavors, I particularly loved the lychee and durian. Other flavors I recommend: -Thai iced tea, strong Thai Tea flavor -Taro (made with taro and coconut so it's a bit grainy, the same texture of real taro. Ans it was super soft because of the coconut -Coffe cognac, do NOT miss this if you are a coffee lover. I may or may not be biased because coffee is amongst my Top 3 favorite flavors
I cannot recommend this place enough and cannot wait to come back!!
