TOGO'S Sandwiches — Restaurant in San Jose

First off, I love Togos and always stop when in California. We are traveling from Oregon, my 11 yo son was using the restroom and taking a long time, but he needed to #2. 2 women walked in and ordered and needed to use the restroom. They waited a few mins and my son was still in there, they left and as they were walking out, tells the staff they couldn't use the bathroom someone was in it. This staff member comes around the counter and starts walking towards the bathroom, so I say "our son is using the restroom" she keeps walking towards the bathroom door and says we had a complaint they couldn't use the restroom (it was maybe 4 mins they waited) I say again, well my son is in thwre using it and she again says well we had a complaint. You had a complaint someone was using the ONE bathroom for a little extra time. So you are going to knock on the door or something while a kid is in there going and trying to hurry because we already text and called him to let him know people were waiting. He was hurrying as fast as he could. Absolutely ridiculous. I spent over $40 on 2 sandwiches and it's worth it every time I am here visiting. But if I'm paying 40 for 2 sandwiches, my son should be able to use the restroom in peace. What was the staff member going to do? She only stopped approaching the door after I stopped her twice to say, he is still going. What's the problem lady? Maybe contact management and ask them to have more than 1 restroom with 1 stall for the place. Horrible, horrible way to treat customers. I'd give 0 stars to that staff member if I could. I'll never go to that Togos again and inform my family who lives there to stay away as well. I got time today lady....

I go to this Togo’s 3X a month. Soda machine is not right and hasn’t been right for a while. I have been getting sandwiches lately but I stopped getting sodas. Today I decided to try it one last time. Went to fill up my cup with Diet Coke and yikes, no carbonation. I asked the lady who appears to be the owner/manager to help me. She goes into the back room and says she changed the tank. I tried again. Still no carbonation. She kept telling me it was good. I told her, “I hate to admit it but I drink a lot of soda and I know for sure that this soda still has no carbonation. How about you refund me for this soda and we’ll try again next time.” She says OK and I follow her back to the cash register. Then she tells me that with the Friday tuna special the soda is “free.” So I quietly say, “You and I both know that nothing is free and you are telling me that you won’t refund me because in theory I didn’t pay for the soda. This isn’t right and you know it, but I’m not going to fight about 2 dollars. I’ll just have to drive a little farther go to the other Togo’s in Milpitas or the one...

Stopped for the Monday special Pastrami. Was made exactly as requested, tasty as always. Like an idiot I got home and realized I'd probaly left my wallet there. Mind you this was like ten minutes before closing. Let the def-con 5 nuclear panic counter begin. 5....4....3.....

I called the store and was told they rescued my wallet and I could pick it up. I raced over there and almost cried in relief 😮‍💨. Anyone who's been dumb enough to loose there's knows what a freaking hassle this can be.

Thankfully the kind young man behind the Togos apron recognized me and handed it over. I didn't have any cash to offer as thanks. His name was Miguel. Thank you Miguel!!!
