Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea — Restaurant in San Jose

We brought two milk tea in this YIFang on Friday 09/03/2021 7:00pm, we went there and ordered two milk tea, I was very happy as the long weekend is coming. However my mood was completely screwed up by the staff there He has no understanding on customer service. He gives my husband the hot tea with no tea cup sleeves and sealed lid. He told us to drink that hot tea from stew or open the sealed cover ?! Excuse me, if your store run out of the supplies, he should told the customer before we ordered. Otherwise we should have right to cancel the other. Then I got my milk tea but I forgot to specify that I want a hot tea, I was very gently ask if I can have it hot, he said it has been already made, I can not make changes. For my order, I have to admit that he was not wrong, but from my previous experience that the staff could usually make a new one in a not busy time. I am very sure that they are not busy, and we are already not happy with my husband’s order. He did nothing at all to satisfy customers. Not even a sorry for inconvenience. I will never go to this...

So this place has some bad reviews, and we were a little nervous. Fortunately, or experience was 5-star all the way. We waited in line for about 10 minutes, waited about 8 minutes for our drinks. Very acceptable wait times considering how busy it was. The person taking orders and person handing out orders were both friendly and professional. They seemed organized and the decor is lovely. I got the fruit tea with boba, 30%. It was excellent. Slices of fresh apple and orange, scoops of passionfruit, chunks of preserved pineapple. So refreshing. Daughter got peach green tea with boba, 70%. She loved it, but it wasn't as show-stopping as the fruit tea. Plan to pay a dollar more per drink than most other places. Some drinks are even more expensive. But it's totally worth it. They really have something magical with their fruit tea. Oh! And the boba! It was a generous serving of perfectly cooked, smaller sized (makes it seem more gourmet), delicious pearls. Boba is an occasional treat for us, so I prefer a high end experience...

Horrible Service. Came when they opened at 11. I got they were still setting up; they clearly saw me walk in - I even said hi, but they proceed to ignore me. That's fine, finish what you are doing, maybe they come after you finish the task. I wanted to use my five-star reward, which requires ordering directly from a person since the kiosk has a different reward system with Snackpass. The register was not even turned on yet, so I patiently waited. Another customer came in shortly after me order from the kiosk and triggered the order ticket. Someone walks up to the front to prep the label, sees me standing there, proceeds not to acknowledge me, and goes back to her task. Mind you, I have been patiently standing there for over 10 minutes already. Another online order came, so they came up to the register again, The register was still not turned on, and they didn't take my order. Giving them over 15 minutes was enough grace, but I ended up just leaving if my business...
