I was in San Jaun Capistrano waiting for a train to San Diego after hiking the Trans-Catalina Trail. There isn't much open on a Monday afternoon, so I was happy just to find a place to grab a local beer. The Brewhouse exceeded my expectations. I started out with a flight and ended up grabbing a second just to cover most of great local IPAs they had on tap. The owner, Kim, was awesome. Couldn't ask for a better opportunity to grab a taste of so many local brews (including North Park, El Segundo, Humble Sea, and Russian River just to name a few).    Read moreIt’s pretty tucked in but it’s a cool place. If you have a large group of people this place is just big enough for it to be roomy, but also small enough for a more intimate group experience without the loudness of Yardhouse.
Update: Unfortunately this business is one of many that have proven with their actions that they don't care about the at-risk population during the pandemic. They show a disregard for public safety and mask wearing or social distancing. Too bad, they were a go-to spot for me and the crew....

We waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table only to be told "we don't wait on you...you order at the bar."
