Sushi Kara — Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano

WARNING! The “Snow Crab” is actually 50% imitation crab. How do I know? The manager told me after my wife was feeling awful.. we are both sensitive to MSG, which is present in imitation crab. The menu actually distinguishes between rolls with imitation crab and those with “Snow Crab” and nowhere does it mention this “50%” business. We’ve been to countless sushi places and never seen anything like this. They comped our food because my wife was so sick, and the yellow tail was tasty, but I regret coming here, and hope this review helps someone else avoid...

When this place first opened we were in quite a bit as it was home to our old favorite sushi spot. The sushi is good. Service mediocre usually feel rushed to leave and don’t expect to plan a dinner here a minute past 8pm. I love this place! They have very good sushi and I ate it all before I remembered to take a picture. They also have very nice service here.
