Madeleine Cafe Bistro — Restaurant in San Juan

Went there for lunch for my first time yesterday and the lady at the register kept me waiting for 6-7 minutes while she did something on it. When she asked for my order I wanted to see the menu and they didn’t have any at the register and the scanned menu wasn’t working. She then Finally got me a menu, I said I wanted to create my own sandwich, picked the selections and she never asked if I wanted something to drink. After I payed I quickly realized this and asked for a Perrier and a dessert. She told me she would charge me for the dessert and drink when I got my food so she could tend to the person behind me which I found rude because I’m at the register and haven’t completed my order. After waiting for thirty minutes I get my food “To-go” which I didn’t ask for and I wanted to eat there and sat at a table for that. When I check my food I got a wrap and not a sandwich. I had 15 minutes left of my lunch so I couldn’t stay to argue about it. Only One lady was nice and she cleaned my table and brought me my food because apparently the other employees didn’t hear me say “excuse me”. Terrible experience for...

This has been the worst experience. We went there 3 days ago and called first, they let us know that the day special was avocado with stake. So we went there and they made us wait for more than 50 min. When the food arrived it was a lot lot of peppers and a tiny avovado with really low quality flan steak not "churrasco". We ate anyways and when we asked for the ticket that plate was 22$. So I asked the waitress why did they told us that it was the special and she said that they confused special with specialty ... wow and if that plate was the speacialty it was really bad. But not more enfuriating than the lie... super bad. Never going...

Excellent ambiance for delicious food. Great service and friendly staff. The place is appropriate for different age groups. Parents take their kids there. You can have breakfast, brunch and lunch. The coffee is awesomely wonderful. The pumpkin soup very rich and tasty. Variety of dishes. The ones I've tasted, and they are a few I have loved and some I have eaten more than once. The French toast are out of this world and some of my friends love the waffles. Whatever you choose will he to your liking. They also offer pastries ready to consume onsite or on the go. The decorations are lovely and the atmosphere...
