Oishi — Restaurant in San Juan

I was referred by my Marriott Ambassador concierge to visit Oishi for the finest Puerto Rican/Asian fusion sushi, and I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience. The cuisine surpassed any I have encountered during my travels around the globe. In addition to the exceptional food, the service was remarkable. I had the privilege of meeting El Chino Kenny, who thoughtfully selected my dishes and provided outstanding customer service. Christopher exhibited high professionalism, contributing to a truly memorable experience. I will certainly return to explore more of the exquisite rolls from their extensive menu of over 40 options. This is the best sushi quality per price threshold restaurant.

Their sushi has probably 50% more meat and rice vs other competitors and the price difference is barely noticable. The quality and taste is very good as well.

I personally love and recommend their dragon maki rolls which are california with cucumber makis with a sushi piece on top. They also have custom in house rolls ask for the ones they are featuring so your mouth explodes in surprize !!!

The staff is very attentive and treat you like a king. They will gladly answer any doubt you may have about the food you're gonna select.

The food here is good; however, the take-out service needs improvement. I placed an order at 6:30 p.m. and received a text at 7:15 p.m. stating that it was ready. When I arrived, the order was still not prepared. Staff began frying the wontons only after we arrived—perhaps for freshness, though no explanation was given. After waiting an additional 30 minutes inside the restaurant, the food was still not ready. We ultimately had to leave without the wontons, 45 minutes after receiving the “ready for pickup” notification (the restaurant offered a...
