Taco Palenque San Juan — Restaurant in San Juan

To begin, I must express my previous fondness for visiting Taco Palenque. However, my recent experience at the location adjacent to HEB and the San Juan Basilica has irrevocably altered my perception.

Upon ordering three tacos and a burrito, I was provided with a number and informed that my food would be delivered to my table. After approximately 10 minutes, the patrons who had placed their orders before mine received their meals. I anticipated the same prompt service for my order.

Despite the passage of 20 minutes, my food remained unattended. After another 30 minutes, I became increasingly frustrated and approached the staff to inquire about the delay. They retrieved my receipt and proceeded to inquire if anyone had seen my order. Each individual denied any knowledge of it.

In response, the staff informed me that they had commenced preparing my order promptly. Concurrently, a young woman approached the manager and announced that they had located the food.

The manager promptly returned to my table without offering any apology or attempting to rectify the situation. Instead, he simply stated, “Here you go, it’s been ready,” and departed. I must express my profound disappointment with this lack of customer service. The tacos I received were cold, and the manager’s response was dismissive and unprofessional.

Regrettably, this incident has compelled me to end my patronage of Taco Palenque. While I acknowledge that this location is relatively new, I have visited numerous Taco Palenque establishments throughout Texas and have never experienced such...

I ordered a burrito and the tortilla was dry and very cracked the preparation was just thrown together really gross. I asked if I could get it remade and the worker said yes but it will take 20 min and I said no id rather have something else and take back the burrito for just two tacos. I would pay the difference and she said that I couldn't do that and would just have to order the two tacos and eat the cost off the inedible burrito. I said no and I just wanted to take everything back and I wouldn't eat there again. The manager came and apologized for the previous lady and refunded my money and she wanted to make the burrito personally. I hesitated after the treatment from the first lady and didn't want them to mess with my food but she was insistent in making it right and I agreed. It literally took 2 min to remake so the twenty min to remake it was so far fetched. It wasnt horrible but the tortilla was still gross and I ended up just tossing it. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because if the cashier and the manager who treated me kindly. The server who brought it out needs to be behind the scenes and not dealing...

Hi I have been going to this taco Palenque for almost 4 months already. The food is always very delicious. The flavor is always spot on and never cold! It’s very surprising for a fast food place to have food quality like this one. Whenever I decide to dine in the place it’s always looking spotless. Everything looks fantastic it smells great and it feels very home like which I love. Also the restrooms are always clean whenever I decide to eat in. Which is very shocking for fast places. I love that about this taco Palenque. The breakfast tacos are truly one of my favorite dishes to order. The young lady in the cashier was always very polite and friendly every time I came in to order. I happened to notice that she’s no loner there no more. I think her name was alison . Always a sweetheart, as well as the bus boys always very helpful when I’ll come in. Over all I love the service and food.
