The day of the world cup Mex vs Poland: I placed an order for eggs with pancakes& sausage, 1 order of fajitas, and 1 order of quesabirrias. First off the fajitas were $13 the breakfast pancakes order was around $13 and the quesabirrias we're $16 with consomé.
$16 for quesabirrias you'd assume it's a large order, anywhere else you go they're roughly $3 each right, at Ana Rosa's it's TWO for $16!! They're not even the size of an actual quesadilla for it to be that price. They're regular tortilla sizes. They didn't even give me consomé with that order.
The fajitas had more vegetables than meat. Smallest portion of rice and beans I've ever seen from a restaurant.
The pancakes tasted bland i felt like i was eating protein pancakes with no flavor. Even with syrup it had no flavor. The eggs were fine. The sausage was deep fried it was nasty.
I think because they have too many items on their menu it makes it hard for them to make it taste good.
The hot sauces with chips are really good. Sadly that was the best part. $70 down the drain since i order through UberEATS.
First time trying them out and never again.
I would rather drive to Hayward/union city from Oakland and eat at that Real Mexican restaurant called "Los Carnalitos restaurant" The quesadilla with chicharrón i think it's for $13 & ITS WORTH IT. It's bigger than your plate bigger than a flour tortilla. I normally buy that and a side of tacos de lengua the best !!
! The hot sauces are really spicy and good (green sauce) every thing on that menu taste really good, as authentic as it gets. Real...
Read moreWe walked in and the place was a mess,no clean tables and no waitress even approached us to sit down.We sat wherever was less dirty and waited for 5-10 minutes for Them to clean the table. The waitress came over after cleaning and asked us what we’d like to drink without even having the menu in front of us.We Ordered a coke,horchata,4 pupusas, and steak fries last night. The pupusas were supposed to be revueltas which means they have cheese, frijoles, and chicharrón.Well let me tell you it had none of that, they were oozing some weird kind of cheese. The cheese was watery and flavorless.i asked the waitress what was up with them and she said that everything was in there like if i was dumb.Real disappointment of pupusas, i use to order them here a couple month’s ago and now they are completely inedible. We received the pupusas before even getting the appetizer, it took them at least 35-45 minutes to bring food out.On top of that there were flies roaming throughout the restaurant trying to get to our salsa and chips. Wont be returning ever again in...
Read moreChilequilles had virtually no eggs, might have been powdered, but inedible. To be fair, they did take them back, but after worrying that we must not know what chilequilles are.
The burrito diabla was bland, but with well trimmed meat.
The beans are weirdly watery. I wasn't used to that.
The combination tostada/sopa was mixes. The sopa was without seasoning and incredibly bland. The tostada was mediocre.
The ceviche was actually pretty good.
The service was worse than the food. We were one of two tables dining in (everyone else was waiting for their to-go food), and everything was unbelievably slow.
We waited at least fifteen minutes for our bill.
It was difficult to get the attention of the wait staff, and when our bill finally came, there was a mysterious extra bill they had to remove. It could have been accidental, or just opportunistic. Neither is good.
Neither I nor those I dined with will ever...
