San Gaspar — Restaurant in San Leandro

I’ve been going here for years and years including my family and extended family and when placed the order over the phone due to covid the lady was nice talking the order but misunderstood the order. She gave me the total over the phone and I said fine. However, upon picking up the food I should’ve checked the order but we had reviewed the order over the phone and since it had always trusted this place I picked up the order, provided a very nice tip. I arrived home and noticed that they had missed an item. I called and the lady had the audacity to tell me she misunderstood and that she did not charge me for the missing item. I told her I’d like to order the item. I went to pick up the item and she had the audacity to charge me for that missing item after being a client of many years and took 30 mins out of my time to pick up an order. I just think this is poor customer service...

Anyone giving this place more than 3 stars MUST be used to horrible food. This place is at best mediocre. Guacamole - watery. Rice - barely edible. Refried beans - decent with the cheese on top. Salsa (2 reds) - not very good at all. I ordered carnitas, which was pretty tasty, but FAR from delicious. I ordered 2 drinks, one was the wrong flavor. They only have ONE size stuff, a couple items offer tiny or medium... I visit most restaurants more than once, tho place will never see me again.

Whenever I venture out to a new restaurant (which is almost daily), I order mult6items to get a feel for the restau6amd not base my opinion on a single item. This place is not good and only someone used to nasty wud rate a mediocre restaurant 5...

This is my second time going to this restaurant and I have enjoyed the experience both times. The food was splendid and very delicious.... O sea bien pero bien delicioso! The restaurant looks super spotless and beautifully decorated! The service was great and fast. The burrito was nice and juicy, the chilaquiles were very flavorful and cheesy and the molcajete just splendid with an array of flavors and meats....
