Los Pericos Market — Local services in San Leandro

Store is very clean and well stocked. I used to be a produce clerk for 41yrs. And I like to look at the produce department to see #1 how fresh it looks, #2 the presentation and #3 the cleanliness of the department and I give it a A+!!! The price is a little high but we are still in the pandemic and it's a small store and everything is going up. When I'm in San Leandro I like to shop here if I just need a few things for my Mexican wife when she needs Mexican ingredients and The "'BEST"' of ALL is Customer service from the checkers, very polite and...

Today I got a burrito and WOW $14.39 ? ForaBurrito ! YEH it's TRUE.

Problem is it hasn't improved at all for what I like. Balanced...But if you like meat it has 90% and the Beans and Rice couldn't be located. I like balance, it's what makes Great Food, There was no balance just MEAT. Oh and As Usual they steam it to warm it, tell them 2x ! What I did find was Scrumptious meat and the dozen pinto beans were jewels and tasty rice and Pico! Correct amounts would make a $12 Burrito! Today's Burrito, Not Even Worth $1.99....

This is a review for the taqueria. There are TWO locations of Los Pericos Taqueria on 14th, and I've been to both, only because I was meeting a friend at the one, but he wasn't there but said he was, so I had to go to the other less than 2 blocks away. I like the bigger location with sunny windows, colorful green birds painted on the walls, and the big salsa bar. Both are good. I always get the ceviche tostada, because yum and less than $5.
