8-Twelve Oriental Market — Restaurant in San Leandro

The owner of this shop is the sweetest man ever!!! Everytime I go, I just see him making 10 diff orders and all of them coming out amazing! He's also so generous with the amount. I ordered a small once, and he gave me a large as well as another small cup of the smoothie instead of throwing it out like most places usually do. The price here is also so unheard of!!! I pay $4 for a large smoothie with boba in the Bay Area!! And the quality of the drink and boba is amazing too so this is definitely one of my top 5 boba places out here. He also serves so many good snacks like egg waffles, mozzarella sticks and fries. I definitely recommend this place to everyone!!! I love boba so I know a number of different places but this is definitely the best price and great taste too. Go support the sweet shop owner, he deserves it!! Also there was this one instance where a mom, dad, and young daughter walked in and he was sooo generous and kind. He let the daughter choose any of chips for free and also gave her candy just to put a smile on her face. It was very heartwarming. Go buy some smoothies...

I've been to boba places in Oakland, San Leandro, Alameda, but 8 Twelve is my top and only pick to this day. I come here almost everyday for my mocha smoothie. The best part is that they allow people to serve themselves the boba! How amazing is that?? I also receive a waffle as a complimentary snack! Bro I recommend this place it's funny because so many people I see on social media be there, it is just so good! But on top of all of this, it is very cheap! I would say it's very cheap compared to other places. Like I've gone to Tapioca Express and for a "large mocha snowbubble with triple tapioca" they be charging me nearly $10. Today I got a "large mocha smoothie with tapioca, 1 small mango smoothie and 1 small coconut smoothie" all for $11 plus the complimentary waffle with lechera. Y'all have to check this place out. 8 Twelve in San Leandro!! They are going to open another 8 Twelve in San Leandro in July or august, it is by chicagos pizza. Prices will be slightly higher, as it should be, but its worth it. This positive review wasn't supposed to be this long buy...

I decided to leave a review because today I received a complimentary waffle aside from what I ordered and felt it was such a generous and touching thing to do. The guy who took our order and served us was alone, which isn't too uncommon at this location as there is almost always only one person working. I usually come here when I'm not in a hurry to be anywhere else because the waiting time can be from 5mins to 30mins, depending on how long the line is. There was a line today and the guy was alone so our wait time was about 20mins, and we ordered two mango peach milkshakes (small with lychee and medium with boba), strawberry banana milkshake (small with lychee) and popcorn chicken. I'm in love with their mango peach milkshake it is so gooood! And their popcorn chicken is delicious. The waffle was yummy, and it came with a small lechera container. I've always had a wonderful customer service experience when I come here so this is one of my most favorite boba...
