We have been coming here for over 12 years, but not so much the last few years since an incident where they had my friend's truck towed from their parking lot even though they were closed and after we realized it were walking across the street to Vallarta. ( I mention this to warn others not to do the same.) Flash forward to yesterday when I went in and picked up dinner for my family. I ordered for my son and myself and then pulled out my phone to read off my wife's order. "She will have a vegetarian burrito with only...rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, guacamole, and the red salsa on the side." The cashier replies, something to the effect of, " so a vegetarian burrito with the salsa on the side?" "I guess so" I shrugged (since I have no idea what it comes with and I had read off what my wife ONLY wanted) "What kind of beans" she asks. "Refried" I replied. My son and I sit and wait for the order, which came out fairly quickly. We got home and passed out the food. My wife cuts her burrito in half because she is super picky and proclaims that that there are onions and cilantro on it and she cannot eat it. So she heads back to return it and get it remade (like most normal restaurants would do for a customer). My wife arrived with the burrito but no receipt and explains what happened and they tell her they had repeated the order back to me so there is nothing they can do. My wife argues that she just wants it remade. They then call the owner who tells them if they repeated the order back they cannot remake it. The cashier tells my wife she will have to pay for a remake. On a $5 burrito. I have been in the restaurant business for 15 years and I know the food cost on this can't be over 30%. They literally could have made another burrito and still have had room for profit. I called and talked to the cashier, and I have to say I was livid so I may not have been calm. She argued that she repeated the order back, to which I explained that I have no idea what comes on the burrito which is why she should have said, so no cilantro or onions after I read off what my wife ONLY wanted. My assumption was that since I said ONLY and she acted like that was all it came with that she knew what I wanted. She gave me the owner's phone number and of course he did not answer nor did he call me back after I left him a lengthy voicemail. While I probably could have done a better job of insuring they got the order right, the point is that this was HORRIBLE customer service. This was such a simple thing to fix but they made it extremely difficult and my wife had to eat elsewhere. We will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't think the price for what you get is worth it. The tacos were nearly $3-4 plain and almost $5 for super but the amount of meat is so small! Tacos are small. As a message to many small businesses, we locals want to support you but the value is just not there meaning cost to quality/quantity ratio is just not there. It was maybe 2 teaspoons of meat and just tiny taco shells (even smaller than usual). I understand that businesses needs to cover their costs including food, rent and paying employees, taxes, but come on, we all know that tortillas at wholesale and two small spoons of meat does not cost as much as we are being charged. Why do businesses have to charge so much? It's not sustainable for locals to eat out like that. You need 4-5 tacos to get full and honestly the tacos were just ok, nothing spectacular. Businesses need to make money, but instead of decreasing quantity of food, quality and raising prices, consider getting more customers with efforts to better marketing and drawing more people in with better tasting food, better quality and then make prices reasonable so we keep coming back and we will be regulars. Then you won't have to raise prices to make up for loss of customers and so called business loss of $$$. Yes inflation is a thing, but again, we all need to use common sense and charge a reasonable price in a world where greed is rampant. Again, I want to support all my mom and pop shops but I also expect them to support the people and provide quality and reasonable cost. Consider improving the business over increasing costs to each customer which some of us are not coming back because we just don't see...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never wrote a negative review for a business before. I always felt if I didnāt have something nice to say to say nothing at all but I feel compelled to share with others what to expect before coming here. I decided to dine in. I ordered a burrito al pastor. It was nice and hot so I had to open it to cool off. I noticed two small spoons of meat in the burrito. I am not going to say that this is good or bad for everyone cause some people do not like too much meat. But if you do like meat and not a burrito filled with mainly rice and some beans then this will not be a good burrito for you. I was hurt by seeing this to be honest with you. I feel that people work really hard for their money and I feel like they donāt care. Itās like āhereās your tortilla with rice, come again.ā I brought the burrito to the lady at the register and the cook and told them āI donāt want my money back, but Iām also not eating this. There is no meat in here. I didnāt want a vegetarian burrito. The lady said, ābut I see meatā l, I said,ā yes, there is meat, but THATS worth 20$?ā I left them with reminding them that I donāt want anything other than for them to know that this is is bad. They should not post pictures of burritos filled with meat if the burrito really is not being served that way. There is a restaurant across the street called Vallarta if you like meat in your burrito. I donāt know why I tried Guadalajara. Wasted a...
