Palo Mesa Pizza III — Restaurant in San Luis Obispo

Suggesting I try something with less toppings - seriously. Was flavorless as it was - couldn't see nor taste any Italian sausage. All this place needs todo is take more care in evenly distributing ingredients and attention to detail - in other words, better mgt.

First time here and have to say very disappointed. Elected to go with their top rated Ken’s Favorite. First off - no pizza sauce??? Plenty of toppings but very uneven - mostly hamburger, could barely taste other ingredients. Speaking of which, mushrooms and onions were raw. Also no cheese was discovered. And finally, nobody, I mean nobody dices raw tomatoes on top of a pizza - and there were so many that I actually measured out 2 full cups on a med pizza. My wife and I live about a month from this location and had never had the opportunity to order from it, but were always curious.

We ordered a medium pizza and cheese bread for pick up to-go from Palo Mesa and were both pleasantly surprised. The turnaround time was fast, the staff was friendly, and both the pizza/cheese bread were tasty. We see this is a relatively budget conscious ($30 total for 2 people) and easy go-to pizza spot going forward that offers a great family style pizza. The pizza dough was slightly chewy with a crunch and made the pizza.

Their ranch and palo mesa marinara sauce were super tasty as well. Looking forward to finding spots to patronize this location again with its proximity to our house. Great work PM team! I see how you've been able to establish 5+ locations here...

I was really hungry, so I ordered a large pizza, wings, and an order of the 'mac n' cheese' made with penne pasta. The pizza was great but they forgot to do half and half sauce. The wings were awesome! The 'mac n' cheese ' was horrible. I think it would have been good if it had sauce in it! I'm not sure if they ran out of sauce or if that's how they make that (I highly doubt it). It was so dry. In fact, my pizza seemed to lack a little sauce too, now that I think about it but, again the pizza was good and I'd recommend it. It's a shame I didn't get to try the red sauce because, they've won awards with their traditional pizzas. The staff was great and...
