Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in San Luis Obispo

I never typically go to this location, however I was working from home and decided to pop in for lunch. As soon as I entered the restaurant I noticed a pair sitting down enjoying lunch. I was surprised that the chain was empty during lunch hours. I approach the counter where a women was standing with a bag in her hand and I say hello...before I could even get a second word out she immediately stated in an annoyed tone for me to use the kiosk to place my order. I was a bit frustrated at this because the chain is empty at the moment and she was just standing there. I place my order at the kiosk and let the cashier know that I placed my order and asked for 3 chicken thighs as the kiosk didnt give me an option to choose the type of chicken I ordered. She turned around and said okay and a few moments later she flung my food on the counter with the box not properly secured nor was it in the bag all the way. When I got home to eat I open the bag to see that my order was incomplete . Called the manager to share my experience with my visit to which she replied saying "Why didnt you want to use the kiosk and whats wrong with it?" I explained to her nothings wrong with it but that I figured it was a convenience option or alternative to a busy store. The real issue was the customer service. I dont think paying customers deserve to be met with attitude and rude service. I asked the manager for the call center number or corporate to file a formal complaint and she said she couldnt give out anyones number because thats their personal number. She then told me to google it and hung up in my face. I'll never come back to this location again based on the customer service alone. I hope this team can do better going...

First time going to a Popeyes and have no interest in ever returning to any Popeyes restaurant ever. My expectations for fast food service are not high but the service here is some of the worst ever, staff are rude. Waited over 5 minutes at the front register to be rung up and employees would just pass by without even acknowledging me. Finally some rude young lady came over to ring me up. I then proceeded to wait for my order next to the register but my order was never called. After noticing a food order on counter for a couple minutes, I proceeded to approach the counter and ask employee if order was for me. She didn't even bother responding and just gave me a nod, while rolling her eyes. Food was cold and so incredibly underwhelming. Seemed to me like the sandwiches were pre-made prior to order. We finally came to this resturant because of the hype. They were out of the chicken sandwiches and might not have them until the end of the month. WOW...... So we ordered the $10.00 meal for 2. Once we got our meal had to go back for butter. Not on the plate. Then I had to go back for napkins they were not included. At this time I could see the oriental woman at the counter was hating her job. Then I had to go back to get a 2nd fork for our 2 person meal they didnt give. Again the service from her was terrible not even eye contact. I must say this was probably one of the most un favorable dining experiences we had. This should have been fun but was really terrible. The food might be good but we will not be going back again. Management needs to train and supervise thier employees on how to make a enjoyable dining experience.
