The quality of the ingredients was evident, with fresh vegetables and savory meats delivering bursts of flavor with each mouthful.

Read moreOver the years since my first visit to this Blaze, I learned how to actually order a great Pizza when a Blaze is not Blazingly busy.
If not too busy, then one can carefully select the toppings and really do to town with what one wants. The secret to not burning the Pizza is to ask them nicely to put the metal grill underneath the Pizza, which is normally only used for the special dough Pizza's. Again, if they are not too busy, and are skilled, it will not come out burnt.
While it is not a NYC style Pizza, since it is so thin, it still can be a very tasty meal.
I am sort of a fan and even have their app on my phone....but I prefer the quieter AG location.
I am going to include my old review below, just to show how much my experience has changed.
Thanks Blaze Pizza!
[ Old outdated review: "Blazingly boring. Wife "hate" factor is way way off the charts!!! BEWARE!!! If married, go alone...ha...ha... Lots of toppings, but the crust is way too thin & is burnt. Popular with Cal-Poly kids. Not for serious Pizza lovers. Mass produced by teens. Toppings but not "Pizza". NOT FOR FORMER...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised at the value of this place. I got the half pizza + salad special (one could get 4 garlic pesto dough knots instead of a salad), and it was only about $8.45 or so. There was a choice of 4 salads. I chose the one with the apples, feta, dried cranberries, pepitas, and greens. It tasted delicious and fresh, however there were way too many cranberries, i.e sugar, so I picked around them and left a bunch uneaten. The half pizza tasted great, and I really liked the crispy thin crust. With the special one could get anything they wanted on their pizza, and there was a large selection of toppings. One thing that was terribly disappointing was that they could have put the salad on the pizza pan (it wasn't hot), since it was only a half pizza. Instead they served it in a plastic take out container complete with a lid even though I was dining in. I hated all that plastic! If the management and/or owner reads this please consider reducing your plastic. There's no reason you can't serve the salad right next to the 1/2 pizza on the pan. There was...
