I wouldn't share. If I had the ability to make burritos as good as these, I would never share them. I know in the movie "Into the Wild", Christopher McCandless says, "happiness is only real once shared". That may be true, but I'd prefer to be unhappy and keep all these burritos to myself than to be happy and share them. Maybe that's why I wasn't given the ability, motivation, discipline, and work ethic to learn how to make burritos this good. With great power comes great responsibility and if I had the power to bring happiness to people through burritos, I wouldn't be responsible enough to do so. Santa Cruz Taqueria Express holds great power and great responsibility and they understand that happiness is only real when shared. That's the only reason I could come up with for why they would share their delicious burritos with the world. I took a picture of the burrito before I ate it. It's been days since I ate the burrito, but sometimes I'll go back in my camera roll and just look at it. I was thinking about changing it to my screen saver, but then I wouldn't get anything done. My brother also recently had a baby and my whole family changed their screen savers to baby, Maeve. I think it would be weird if I was the only one in my family that had a burrito for my screen saver. Maybe I'll use a split screen so baby and burrito can be in one place. Anyways, thank you Santa Cruz Taqueria Express for...

I ordered two meals for pick up. They gave me 1 (half full) bag of chips and 3 containers of sauces (green sauce, red sauce, and onions). No limes no beets. So I took two more bags of chips and filled up one extra containers of each, 4 pieces of lime, and one container of beets (see pictures)
This old lady came out and said whatever she gave me is it, and next time I cannot take anymore. "you can't take anymore than what I gave you in the order". Maybe if you give me two meal worth of side dips then I can. I don't see other people getting yelled at. Last time I went with my Caucasian friend I didn't see them yell at us taking two portions of dips nor bags of chips. My friend went several times and take a lot of chips and I asked him. He never got told by anymore. He literally told me to take more chips which I think was just considered they gave me half a portion for 2 meals. So I took enough portion for two meals. I didn’t overtake
To the establishment: You see an Asian girls and a bunch of other Caucasian people and happen to target me and was nice to other girls who also take things. Next time put a sign on your free condiment bar that you don’t like people...
Read moreOh man its been a while since I ate at Taq Santa Cruz. I graduated Poly class of 16, so coming back, This location is new to me. With that said, My go-to order was always the chimichanga, and this time around was no different. I also picked up an horchata, as usual. While the chimi was no longer priced below the Super burrito (they are equal now), it still hits just as good as it did those years ago, and while the value proposition is not as strong as it used to be, I still rank this as the top Chimichanga in it's price bracket - and that's saying something. Im from the Bay Area, and the Mexican food game is much more competitive up here. Most of the restaurants in SLO would not be able to compete, but If we're specifically talking about the Chimi from Santa Cruz, it is best in class. Horchata was a bit on the thinner side, but it served the purpose, and was relatively good value. I don't come down here often, but when I do, I make it a point to grab a...
