Jack's Roadhouse — Restaurant in San Marcos

Not very great of a place. I had played here once for an agreed amount of cash and we still haven’t gotten paid (been weeks.) - We have never dealt with a venue/bar not paying us, as that is obviously unprofessional. One or two of the bartenders were pretty friendly. But it is a very “townie” type joint. I won’t ever be coming back. Wasn’t a fun place anyway. I was actually excited to go and my expectations were unfortunately too high and then the dealbreaker was the withholding of the guarantee. Like I said, no bar/venue has ever been that unprofessional to us. I wouldn’t waste my time. Hope it gets better and prospers and I can change my mind about it (???????) but I probably won’t, honestly....

It feels like home. Good friendly people, all the regulars know each other and respect each other. The food is great, come on down and try the Floyd burger its awesome. Try it double meat even more awesome. The beer is always cold and the price is the best in town. Karaoke night is really fun. The Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys are always on the TV. Jack's Roadhouse is a great old style Texas bar. Friendly staff and patrons in a pretenious-free environment. Pool table, live music, and relaxing outdoor seating if you prefer fresh air. Wish we had been hungry so we could have tried the food truck but heard it was worth returning to check it out.
