They have LIFE CHANGING curry here. The red curry is the spiciest, followed by the green (though it is almost just as spicy as the red), followed by the yellow. All are good options, and the spicy levels range from 5/10 - 7/10. The three curries do have different ingredients, so pick the one that sounds most appealing to you. They have other good dishes, but the curry is the best here. And, yes, even better than Thai Thai in town. The cook is an elderly gentleman who does not speak English. The woman does, and she is the creator of the curry recipe. We offered her $300 for the recipe, but she said no. I don’t blame her. I don’t believe there is WiFi; I might be wrong because every time I go I’m too busy enjoying the company of my wife and the amazing curry. The customer service is decent. There are only 4-5 tables, so call ahead if you want to make sure you get a seat...they will reserve one for you. And the curry takes about 30-45 mins to prepare, but not if you call ahead. After your meal, I recommend trying their mochi ice cream!

Wow!! I have been on a mission to find great Asian food in Texas for the last fifteen years. I finally found it while rushing to get some food during a break in jury duty! I tried to find something "different" to avoid the lunch rush. What better than the side cafe in a Thai market? As hoped, it more than met the expectations. You turn left in the market and order from the cashier. There's some paper menus. Then you go to the other side and find a seat. Shortly afterwards this older gentleman will deliver the most amazing Thai meal you can imagine. Oh man, it almost makes me wish I get called up on jury duty again. I went with a classic Pad Thai lunch menu. Came with a wonderful spring role and some soup. Both were excellent. The Pad Thai was just insanely good. It's been about 20 years since I've been to Thailand so maybe my taste buds are aged, but it made me think I was back. If you ever want a great, hidden gem of Asian food - you have got to try this place out.

Like this place only for the food. It is not a full service Resturant and few table available. If you are in the hurry or very hungry you may need to choose other place as we waited about 30 mins before our foods were served with 2-3 orders ahead of us. I think it was worth a wait for the food. Taste of the is awesome with great favor but I felt it was less spicy than usual Thai I had. You may order to go will be another good option. Hope this help. Enjoy their food.

By far the best Thai food in San Marcos!! Way better than Thai Thai Cafe. And I think it's the best in the Austin area as well!!

First, the taste of beyond anything I've ever had (my experience is only with Portland, Houston, and Austin. But I've had a lot of Thai food)!!!

Second, it's cheap! I've gone several times now, and everything on the menu is $8.99!!

And third, good portions as well! You definitely leave full! And I normally eat a plate and a half (that's the leftover half of my Fiance's plate 😂). But here, I'm full on $8.99 meal and left amazed by just how dang good it was!! I've taken several different people there, and their jaws drop every time! The food quality and freshness is just stunning.

The only downside (and I really don't count this as a downside) is that it's not aesthetically pleasing. And by that I mean you walk in and it has aisles of Thai cuisine groceries (which I find super cool!!) and a few tables on the right, but you order at a cashier's table on the left. There's some empty boxes laying around and has the feel of a little warehouse. But I love it! They do decorate nicely on the right with the tables and I love the music playing! It's cute! I'm actually glad they don't spend their money trying to make the place have that typical restaurant atmosphere and instead they craft incredible food at a fantastic price!!...

You could not ask for a better local restaurant!

We've been eating here for years, and the food has always been consistently good. It is a true family run restaurant, and you can tell that they take pride in the food that they make. My family loves curry, and even my parents from Houston agree that this is the best. You also can't go wrong with any of their rice or noodle dishes!

Our friends and family have all been introduced to Prik Nam Pla and often request it when they come to visit. It's so popular in our circle that in a 9 day period my parents wanted us to order it, then a friend came to visit a few days later and ordered it, and then my wife's parents came to visit the following weekend and ordered it.

Today I went to pick up some lunch and left my food at the counter (no caffeine brain fog). John came running after me as I was pulling out of the parking lot to hand me my food.

Great people! Great food! The market has an amazing selection of hard to...
