Co Workers and I were in town for a conference and googled “good Mexican food near” and this place came up. We decided to try it and we all were glad we did. The place is a small un assuming building that was apparently an old train station. Train literally runs right behind the building and it shakes when one goes by, kind of cool. They have a to go window and sit down eating, very small place. A husband and wife who were the owners took care of us. They were very friendly and caring. They talked to us and made sure we had enough food. The food was amazing, classic taqueria style. We all had tacos, beef and pastor. Salsa was amazing and so was the dip trio. We sat and talked to the owners for a short time after and felt like family friends. We will be going back for their breakfast before we leave town! For an update, went back for breakfast the next day. Had the chilaquiles and oh my!! Same great service, but different great meal. Will make this a usual stop when I’m in the hill country!

I was traveling from Austin south to San Antonio and looking for a really good Mexican restaurant that was on the way and here it was. Rated very high I thought while this probably is going to be a good one because it has so many stars. They were not wrong! It's a very small restaurant and it's right by the railroad tracks. It probably only has eight tables in it. However the food is really really good The chips are super fresh and I enjoyed everything. The lemonade the horchata is excellent there was nothing I could complain about. The prices were pretty good about what you would expect and I would definitely go here often if it was a place that was close to my house. Sadly I was just passing through but I will remember it though!

Excellent cook! The food is the prize here .. Expect a wait as this a small establishment wit minimal staffing. Lovely Frida decor / homage to La Casa Azul. Breakfast entrees: Ordered one migas tacos, basic migas taco followed by La Sol y la Vida, delicious, preferred the shredded queso fresco but does come with cubed queso fresco / Las Dos Fridas - fantastic dish! / Tres Leches French Toast - a tad dry missing a cream sauce (tres leches cream drizzle?) Coffee okay. Complimentary ceviche received was fresh & divine! Absolutely will return especially to try lunch. Support local.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dos Fridas, a Mexican restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere and authentic décor. The restaurant's attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the hand-painted murals to the carefully curated music selection. 🎶 Great Playlist

The quality of the food was simply exceptional. The flavors were bold and authentic, reminiscent of the cuisine I've enjoyed during my travels to Mexico but in Central Texas. Each dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the presentation was fabulous. Whether it was the succulent tacos, the flavorful burger, or the perfectly seasoned salsas, every bite was a delight.

The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. They were happy to recommend dishes based on my preferences and made sure that every detail of my dining experience was perfect.

In addition to the exceptional food and service, the restaurant was impeccably clean and the owners are so welcoming. The dining area was well-maintained. This attention to cleanliness is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Overall, our experience at Las Dos Fridas was truly memorable. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere made it a standout dining destination. If you're looking for a taste of authentic Mexican cuisine, I highly recommend giving this...

If you’re on the hunt for the best tacos and authentic Mexican food, look no further than Las Dos Fridas. This hidden gem combines vibrant flavors with a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you to the history of Frida Kahlo and Mexico.

The star of the show here is undoubtedly the tacos. Each one is crafted with freshly made corn tortillas that are perfectly soft yet sturdy enough to hold generous fillings. The carne asada taco is a standout—juicy, well-seasoned beef topped with onions and cilantro, delivering a flavor explosion in every bite. The al pastor is equally impressive, featuring marinated pork that’s smoky and sweet, complemented by a hint of pineapple.

Whether you’re a taco aficionado or a newcomer to Mexican cuisine, Las Dos Fridas offers an unforgettable food experience. It’s a perfect spot for a casual breakfast or lunch with friends. With their authentic flavors and commitment to quality, this place truly stands out in a sea of options....
