I walked in a few months before my wedding with a vintage skirt and my mom and future mother in law's wedding dresses, not totally sure what I wanted or was asking for. Shelbi helped me define my vision and executed it with complete confidence and professionalism-- she took the top of my mom's wedding dress, extended it with lace from my fiancee's mom's wedding dress, and tea dyed it to match the skirt. Shelbi was recommended to me by my wedding planner and I am SO incredibly pleased with my experience. In addition to alterations, Shelbi designs & creates her own wedding dresses! So, she definitely knows what she is doing! I was very, very impressed with her work. The biggest alteration that I needed in my dress was some additional support in the chest region. My “ladies” are definitely not dainty and my dress’ deep V and lacy bodice was going to make bra shopping very difficult. Shelbi designed a custom jumpsuit with a removable skirt for my wedding. When I started my journey of looking for what I wanted to wear to my wedding I really didn’t know what I wanted. I kept finding elements that I liked, but still didn’t have a clear vision. There really is not a good market for wedding jumpsuits that I could find, and I certainly couldn’t find one with an attachable skirt.
