I recently visited the North Street Curry Shop after an exhilarating day at Schlitterbahn, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
After a long day of water slides and excitement, I was craving a satisfying meal, and the North Street Curry Shop delivered nothing short of greatness. The menu offered an impressive variety of curry dishes that catered to various taste preferences. It was hard to decide, but the staff was incredibly patient and helpful in guiding me through the options.
When my food arrived, I was blown away by the flavors and presentation. Each dish was beautifully prepared, and the aromas alone were enough to make my mouth water. The spices were perfectly balanced, creating a harmonious explosion of flavors that delighted my taste buds. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied.
The service throughout my dining experience was impeccable. The attentive waitstaff consistently checked in to ensure everything was to my liking. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. It was evident that they genuinely cared about their customers' dining experience.
Beyond the fantastic food and service, the ambiance of the North Street Curry Shop was delightful. The cozy and inviting atmosphere provided a respite from the day's activities. It was a joy to sit back, relax, and enjoy my meal in such a pleasant environment.
I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed my visit to the North Street Curry Shop. The combination of delectable food, impeccable service, and a welcoming ambiance made it an exceptional dining experience. Read moreWe've been coming here once every 3 weeks for about a year! It's a good spot for drinks and an okay spot for Indian INSPIRED food. We have noticed that the food has definitely dipped in both authenticity and quality. This last visit everything was milder/less spicy and the curry was significantly worse, closer to Texas chili with tomato sauce than chicken curry. We also ordered "naan" for the first time and got a small piece of puff pastry which was disappointing, you'd think the naan would at least be naan. Their service is awesome, the servers have all been superstars, and the beer and prosecco are good but we'll be looking for somewhere else to stop for food on our trips, it's not worth the 60$ for two people. DONT come here looking for Indian food. The decorations are also much more blatantly appropriating than when we first began stopping here, almost offensively so.
Edit: to the response from the restaurant, there are new decorations and photos up that we're definitely not up when we began coming, the food WAS worse last time we went , idk why you think your own opinion about your food overrides that, and we ordered naan off of the menu, it said naan on the menu and it hadn't been there before so we were excited to try it. I'm not making that up or misremembering, I made this review immediately after leaving the restaurant. What a pompous response, it would have been better to not respond at all. Thank you for solidifying for us that this is not a business...
Read moreWow, just wow. There are some restaurants which get everything right and ofcourse deserve 5 stars across the board but there are a few restaurants which just amaze you by the story of the folks running the show AND going above and beyond.
This is exactly that place. A bunch of westerners claiming to run an Indian restaurant in a sleepy German town in the United States. And not only have they claimed they have conquered preparing and serving Indian food.
I stepped into the restaurant without much expectations and hesitantly ordered the chicken trio, which is comprised of:
Chicken curry Chicken tikka masala 3 butter chicken
For appetizers, ordered the chicken 65 and the loaded samosas.
First came the chicken 65, which was decent.
Then the samosas, which were amazing, just like the way how it’s supposed to be back in India. The channa masala and the yogurt were perfect on the delicious samosas.
The butter chicken - I can promise you, you cannot get butter chicken of this quality, texture and taste back at home in India at even one of the better restaurants.
The chicken curry - just perfect.
The chicken tikka masala - delicious.
Beyond the food, the simplicity with which we were served the food. The friendly and openness of the servers was cherry on the top.
I would recommend North street curry shop to anyone looking for top notch...
