It's always "less busy that usual." Their parking lot is always empty. Why? Because that Subway is "That Subway." None of the recent positive reviews are real. None of them provide any details. Meanwhile every real review is negative.
Today 7:00 - 7:40pm, my family (wife, 2 elementary aged daughters, & I) visited the store at 102 Wonder World Dr, San Marcos, TX. I can't imagine a worse visit. Poor service, attitude, sandwiches, cussing, racial slurs, & threatening violence. One is lucky I didn't call the cops. The crew doesn't care. We were not greeted by either of the young men working the counter. One had a hat on, but his pants were 'sagging' halfway down his butt to expose his red underwear. The other man had very long 'skater’ hair with nothing to hold it back. There were at least 4 (possibly 6) people working that shift. Odd, as I don't think I've ever seen more than 3 people working a shift anywhere else. The general appearance of the crew was bad. They threw around the food. My daughters ordered mini pepperoni kids’ meals. Somehow, it appeared as though the meat was all stacked on one side. I ordered a 12" boss. I said I wanted it "toasted," but Skater Boy immediately moved on to wrapping it without any toppings. I assume he thought I said "that's it." However, they continued to show attitude when my wife clarified that she wanted a 6" sandwich. Red Drawers forcefully throws the chicken back into the container. They didn't ask if we wanted combo meals or drinks. I grabbed my own cup but find that the ice was out. I had to tell them 3 times before anyone responded. We sit down to eat. My wife looks at the receipt. She feels we have been overcharged and asks for a refund. Instead of explaining what he did, Skater Boy continues with the attitude and smirk like he doesn't give a _. Another customer, who apparently used to work at this store, chimes in. I say they clearly don't care, Skater Boy looks high, and then tell the crew "Good Luck" (referring to their futures). I've had it with this crew. I just want to eat my sandwich and leave. But my daughters finish their milks and want cups for water. Somehow more drama... directed at little kids. On our way out, we clean our table and throw away the trash. I see the garbage is just stacked up on the patio. Disgusting but it fits the pattern. My older daughter gets more water but spills it. I try to tell the workers. Nobody wants to respond. I basically have to yell. That's when Red Drawers starts threatening me. He apparently thought my daughter intentionally spilled water all over herself and the floor just to spite them. He drops a few choice words and tells me not to come back. He calls me a "N-WORD-A" and says he is going to smack me. Skater Boy and the dark-haired girl get in between him. I tell him to update his resume and leave as Skater Boy requested. They failed on every level and still I probably wouldn't be writing this letter had Red Drawers been able to keep his mouth shut for 10 more seconds. Read moreAttention Uber and doordash drivers this particular location once your full driver's license to pick up an order in which they don't ID their customers for. There is no amount of money on this Earth that would allow me to give some college kid or high school student my driver's license information just to pick up an order. No other restaurant does this and the fact that the subway does makes me wonder if the issues they're having aren't the drivers but them themselves. I'm not picking up alcohol and I'm not picking up a prescription at Subway so there's no reason that Subway needs my driver's license especially since they can look at the phone for the Uber and doordash app showing that that's the order. This restaurant has been reported to Uber Eats for this particular pickup issue. Where is there may be some people who don't have an issue with giving out their whole ID their dob their address and all that to a Subway worker I asked the most people have an issue with it because there's no reason for it and I don't trust Subway enough to have all that key information. Because if something fraudulent happened I'm coming back to this particular Subway because it would be probably something they did. I would never recommend anybody a ordering from this particular location or picking up from this location just based off of how Shady appears. It should be marked that I have been doing both Uber and doordash for over a year now. And no other Subway restaurant does this anywhere across this country let alone any other restaurant. Read moreMy daughter bought us dinner tonight and she was going to pick it up at 6:45 at our local store and Wonder World Dr. However, when she arrived at 6:25 PM to pick up the dinner, it was not ready and she had to wait. The clerk that was working behind.the stand told her that she was late and that it was thrown away so they had to remake their sandwiches. When she returned home, we sat down to eat dinner, and when we opened our sandwiches to look at them, they were not what we wanted. They looked they were not put together well just throw in anyway. Well they were looked horrible! They had just thrown them together and did not care at all. RIDICULOUS… I resorted to call the store and tell them about it and the manager of the store, which was very rude and not courteous at all. She proceeded to tell me Well, I’m sorry you’ll just have to bring them in if you want a refund. I reluctantly drove down to the store with the sandwiches where as I was met again with rudeness she was assisting a customer & there were 2 other associates (LAUGHING) at me when she said “ you will just have to wait!” She was the manager & she had to call another person to figure how to refund us our money ($25). When we were leaving these 3 immature individuals were snickering and was not at all professional. This is totally unacceptable. I would hope that something is done about this and that I can get some refund or credits for my poor service that I received by this horrible franchise.
