Señor Panchos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in San Marcos

The husband just got burritos to go so this could completely be on him, but he forgot my order so panicked and asked for a "chicken burrito" - what I received was that and only that: shredded chicken in a tortilla. There was nothing else - no beans, cheese, guac, etc. I don't see anything that fits that description on the menu (the closest is pollo asado and that comes loaded with stuff). I have no idea what was lost in translation between my husband's brain and the person taking the order, but it was so boring I couldn't eat it. I'll save the chicken to cook into something else this week I guess. It does have a little kick to it, so for anyone ordering shredded chicken in anything, be prepared for a little spice.

The husband ordered the steak and eggs burrito for himself, and even though other reviews mentioned that they use real potatoes (not fries) for their breakfast burrito, this one definitely had fries. I took a bite to try it and it was the most dry, boring burrito I've ever had (aside from my recent chicken thing). But my husband likes his food that way so I guess it was good for him? 🤷🏻 The eggs were way overcooked and the whole thing lacked flavor. As a life long San Diegan and burrito fan, I'll keep trying other places before ever...

Lamento compartir que, como consumidor nativo y local de San Marcos, Señor Panchos ha perdido calidad en la comida y el servicio. Esta es la última vez que ordenaré de ellos. Solía disfrutar el Surfin Cali Burrito entre otros alimentos, pero arruinaron mi comida OTRA VEZ.

Llamé para ordenar y la cajera tomó nota de mi orden modificada, me preguntó en cuanto llegaría, le informé que en aproximadamente 10 minutos; dijo que estaría listo. Llego al restaurante 16 minutos después y mi orden aún no está listo, ok no hay problema, espero.

¡Regreso a mi oficina y el burrito modificado que tanto he esperado para disfrutar no es lo que pedí! ¡Me dieron el burrito con TODOS los ingredientes que originalmente contiene! Yo específicamente les informe que lo quería modificado, no lo hicieron, pero los ingredientes adicionales que agregue si me los cobraron.

Opté por darles el beneficio de la duda, les di algunos intentos más, ¡Pero continúan haciendo mi orden incorrectamente! Me entristece separarme de este lugar, pero no voy a seguir pagando para qué me den mi orden incorrectamente.

Mi sugerencia para usted es que, si desea modificar su orden, ya sea quitar o agregar ingredientes, verifique su comida INMEDIATAMENTE en el lugar y ahórrese la decepción. Llamé para preguntar por un gerente y me informaron que no estaba, solicité que me devolvieran la llamada y no se ha recibido ninguna comunicación hasta el día de hoy. I regret to share that as a native and local consumer from San Marcos, Senor Panchos has lost quality in the food and service. This is the last time I will be ordering from them. I use to enjoy having the Surfin Cali Burrito among other food items, yet they screwed up my order AGAIN. I called to place my order in and the cashier took down my modified order, she asked my eta I informed her it was approx 10 minutes – she said it would be ready. I get to the restaurant 16 minutes later and my order is still not ready, okay no problem, I wait. I get back to my office and the modified burrito that I have long awaited to indulge in is not what I asked for! No attempt to modify it was made, yet the add on’s were charged on my tab.

I opted to give them the benefit of the doubt, gave them a few more tries yet they continued to always mess up my order!!! I am saddened to break away from this place but I am not going to continue to pay and have an incorrect order.

My suggestion to you is If you like to modify your order, check your food IMMEDIATELY on-site and save yourself the disappointment. I called to ask for a manager, and they informed me that they are not in, I requested a callback and no communication has been received...

Wow!!! Not good. I came here so much in the past and gave this place very high ratings now I have to take that back. They can't even get the orders right. My girlfriend went and had to speak in English and Spanish since the lady didn't seem to understand at the speaker. And even still she didn't understand. She got to the window and the lady seemed to know what we ordered by telling my girlfriend our order so she didn't even waste time going thru the bag which you should never have to do anyways. Tonight she ordered 6 crispy beef tacos, a side of beans, side of chipotle sauce which wasn't chipotle sauce at all compared to all other Mexican restaurants but the same price as the order of beans.
