Wholly Crepe — Restaurant in San Marcos

Empty spot, but I came in the afternoon and didn't get too concerned by that. One guy just sitting at a table on his computer jumped up to help.

To start, they we're out some items like any milk alternatives, a bummer for me as I really wanted a latte, and the crepe was a bonus idea. No biggie.

Asked for suggestions and just got fairly low level of interaction, so I just placed an order. Again, no biggie, but there's no other customers for him to help.

Grabbing a table and I started to notice at this point, there was a general lack of cleanliness around the place.

While waiting, I used the restroom and it was not very clean for a place that's completely empty. It could use some upgrades so that it doesn't give off gas station feels. Washing my hands and I'm now realizing there's no soap. Ew. Now I'm questioning eating anything made here if they're out of soap + my earlier observations of the cleanliness level.

Food arrived quickly. A bit underwhelming and cheap on toppings/sauces. But maybe at this point I've just lost my appetite? Strawberries didn't seem fresh and overall undercooked. It's a crepe and doesn't take much to cook, and given there were no other customers to assist, I'd expect it to be pretty darn perfect.

Just went to Wholly Crêpe and OMG… new favorite spot. Not a chain and you can totally feel the difference

We met the owner (SO friendly 💯) and the whole vibe? 10/10. Cozy, welcoming.

Now let’s talk food 🍽️ We got: 🥙 Chicken Pesto 🥪 Turkey Pesto 🌱 Veggie 🌶️ Southwest All savory, all 🔥🔥🔥

Then came dessert… 🍌 Banana Crêpe = PERFECTION

Drinks? Don’t sleep on the smoothies: 🥭 Mango 🍓🍌 Strawberry Banana They tasted so natural — like actual fruit, not fake sugar bombs!

And the sweetest part? The owner gave my kids a FREE crêpe just because 💖

Prices were super reasonable, and we left full + happy

It’s also the perfect place for a relaxed Sunday brunch good vibes, great food, and super family-friendly. We’re 1000% coming back! Wholly Crêpe is THAT place

Unfortunately, this review is solely for their online ordering system.

They're open at 8, I tried ordering online for pickup at 8:15 and was stuck in a redirecting loop. I tried calling the business to order and got an AI answering service that sent me a text to the ordering link automatically. You guessed it, right back to the same loop.

This place has great food and I didn't want to sit and wait for the food because I'm busy but being a small business owner myself I thought I would inform them so I drove to the business and explained my issues. The owner informed me that their online ordering system doesn't turn on until 8:30. Maybe I'm being a bit critical but it just doesn't make sense to me and I was annoyed.

Again, the food is always great and the staff is happy...
