Rancho Santa Fe Village — Local services in San Marcos

It is so sad that Rancho Santa Fe Village has gone downhill since 2011. When I moved in we had a GREAT MANAGER, JUDI. Then there were maybe one or two managers after her, then Holly. At first Holly was caring and quickly responded to repair requests. After the Covid shutdown was over, and I mean over, Holly refused to open the Community Room during the daytime, as it was before Covid. New residents don't even know that there is a Community Room. There is junky stuff in the room such as an overabundance of furniture. So if we wanted to have a get-together, we couldn't. I was assisting a tenant with some paperwork. Holly didn't like that. She lied to me and said that the person I was helping did not authorize me to assist him. LIAR!! I called her on it and so did the person who did authorize me to help him.

The place is filthy dirty! There are lights out in the hallways, and the hallway carpets and cement areas are filthy dirty. Go see for yourself. It's sad that someone who at one time cared, has turned cold to many tenants.

Now she is refusing to refund a former neighbor's deposit back to her. She has blocked her so that she can't communicate with her.

YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO COURT FOR A FULL REFUND! After being a resident for more than 4 years the lease states that a FULL REFUND is due.

UNBELIEVABLE!! The apartments are nice, but being treated like dirt is unacceptable. RENTER BEWARE!!

If you try to get a hold of the owners, YOU CAN'T! They write bad checks for your return deposit. In CA you can sue for double the amount of your deposit. Some day, Holly, your lies will come back and hopefully you will realize how unprofessional you have been. Get another line of work if you don't want to deal with people. Giving the finger to a tenant is so unprofessional! UNBELIEVABLE!! RENTER BEWARE!! SOMEDAY HOLLY YOU WILL BE FIRED.

If I could give a --100 I would. I lived there for 4 miserable years. The place is filthy. It's a slum managed by a slum landlord, Holly Seitzinger. I kept getting sick while I lived there. Black mold in the carpets, feces and urine in the carpets and elevators, maggots in the indoor trash room, filth on the walls and doors, carpets held together with black tape, the odor of feces and urine in the air. Oil slicks in the parking lot that are a danger of causing one to fall. 3 stories, all stories enclosed, one maintenance man who doesn't know his work, one cleaning woman who spends more time babysitting Hollys' child, and, going through the recycling bin than she does cleaning. I was stuck there those 4 years of hell. I moved out July 15, 2025 which is 38 days ago and I left the apt clean. I still have not received my $456.00 of Deposit Refund Check, and Holly refused to return my calls, emails, and, hand written letters. She ignores the tenants there. It is a well known fact. Holly has favorites, and, if you're not one, forget about getting a response for repairs or anything from her. She is the worst manager I've ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. She hates her job, she dislikes the tenants, and lets them know it by refusing to communicate with them. Now, she's a thief. Refusing to give my deposit back after she sent me an email telling me how much I get back. I am being forced to take this to court. I want my $456.00 Deposit Refund Check. DO NOT RENT HERE. IT WILL BE YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE. You will wake up with termites in your bed, roaches, and, bedbugs. DON'T RENT HERE!!! YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU EVER LAID EYES ON THE LIKES OF HOLLY SEITZINGER....

I can't say enough great things about Holly the manager!!! She's very nice. She keeps us posted about apt availability. We know other people that live there and they are very happy. Can't wait to move in!!! I have to take bk this review!!! We were shown a 1st floor apt next to Holly the managers apt. We turned it down for personal reasons. Months went by and she contacted me about an apt that was going to open up. The lady in the 2 bedroom apt 203 was going to move into a 1 bedroom apartment. It was supposed to take place March 15th. Holly couldn't get the lady to move for over a month past the time the lady gave notice. In the meantime she showed us floor plans for 203 and 235. We asked which was the quietest and she said 203 so we said we'd take it. Then she showed me a 2 bedroom apt on the first floor. I told her no because of the horrible thing that had happened to me when I was 25 in a first floor apt. She said sincerely " I don't want you to take the apt if you're not going to be happy". Then 1 day I went to her office and an rude ugly guy with black hair told me that things change since I turned down the apt that I was now at the bottom of the list. HOLLY NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THIS HAPPENING!!!! SHE SAID SHE'D HAVE TO TALK TO CORPORATE TO COVER HER OWN BACK!!! SOME GUY FROM CORPORATE CALLED ME AND SAID WE TURNED DOWN 4 APARTMENTS WHICH WAS A LIE THAT HOLLY MUST HAVE TOLD HIM!!! AND THAT NOW WE WERE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST AND NOT TO CONTACT HOLLY ANYMORE. I THINK WE WERE TREATED UNFAIRLY AND DESERVE TO BE BACK ON TOP OF THE LIST. BUT I BET WE'RE NOT EVEN ON THE...
