La Piñata — Restaurant in San Mateo

I had some of the Special, which was menudo on a Monday. It should be fire if they got some. ... But it was from a can. Chewy and brown.

Now I know Chinese people make something that is0 similar and it's dark colored, but this has zero flavor.

I wanted to love this place. Every time I ordered a bean and cheese burrito it was always with whole pinto beans. I thought that was their way ( But I love refried beans on a cheese burrito (of course, cause I ordered it.) and always disappointed.

But still thought they didn't make refried beans.But when I sat in the restaurant for the menudo I was almost upset that others who had combo plates (it was during lunch hour for all the workers on the st.) they had refried beans with their rice and carne (meat/protein).

No, I'm not upset with the workers, but shouldn't you offer everyone who is getting a burrito the option of whole or refried?

Weird, I know. Go to eat comfortably here. It's a good place...

Okay so I ordered 3 carne asada tacos with pixo de Gallo( it comes with it)and then I ordered a carne asada burrito which comes with Pico de Gallo, Rice and cheese . Also beans but I didn't want beans. Well they forgot the pico de gallo not only on the tacos but also the burrito so both so were dry and disgusting. There was also no cheese in my burrito whatsoever so it' was basically steak and Rice and barely any of it as you can see my pic. It was all tortilla this is by far the worst tacos and burritos I've ever had. Forthe tacos not only do they forgot the pico de Gallo but the meat was so dry so I needed that salsa that was a must. The meat was dry in the tacos and since they had no pico de gallo it was to dry to eat.. it was garbage The cilantro and onions that you saw on the tacos were added by me those weren't even on there when my order arrived I had to add those to give it something but they still were...

I tock my family to la piñata to eat and they had us waiting for over 30 minutes, we saw people come in after us and they we're getting served first. I asked the register girl if they got our order or not because we we're waiting for a long time and that there was other people coming in and getting served but not us, then she told me that they ran out of corn mass and that they needed to make more, but they didn't even bother to tell us, they rather just have us just sitting there watching other people that came after us get their food first. Really...
