Upon entering this place, it was Instagram ready. There are so many little spots to take pics and post on social media. When we first arrived, there was a handful of people. As our food came, it was getting crowded, and people had to sign up to get on the wait list. Place was simply decorated and had a very relaxing vibe, where you can catch up with friends and family while eating brunch.
Their drinks were on point and picture ready.
We ordered:
Blue butterfly - refreshing with the lychee
Iced ube - Smooth ube flavor with what seemed like a light hint of coconut
Ube Latte - Creamy hot and smooth drink. Not overly flavored.
Chamomile Citron - Lightly flavored tea. Went well with the meal
Entree:
Garden omelette - Very filling, and you can taste the different veggies
Florentine benedict - Creamy and flavorful. All the veggies make you feel like you're eating a little healthy
Basil ribeye - Tender and well seasoned. It had a little sweetness to it. Paired perfectly with rice and sunny side up egg
Steak and eggs - Had a savory taste to it but not super heavy. We couldn't get enough of the parmesan fries
Chicken croffle - The chicken was so crispy, and it tasted like the chicken was well marinated prior to actually frying. You can just tell that it's been marinating for a while. Sadly, the croffle got lost underneath all the chicken. Maybe next time, I'll order the croffle separate.
Yaki Udon- This one scared my cousin when she saw the bonito flakes moving. After mixing it, she literally licked the bowl clean.
Creme Brulee French Toast - This was no ordinary French toast it was crispy on the edges, I loved the burnt sugar on top. You can taste the crème brûlée in each bite.
Everything we tried here was delicious, I can't wait to go back and try other items. Highly recommend, if anything, I...
Read morePopular & delightful - Asian fusion breakfast fare. It's larger inside than I expected from online pics. We arrived around 10:45 am on a Saturday. The line outside was about 15 deep ahead of us not counting the small, 5 or 6 person, waiting area just inside the door. The line at least tripled beyond us as we waited 30-ish min. The atmosphere was light, airy, & quaint, and staff was upbeat, enthusiastic, & pleasant w just a great overall vibe. Don't know if this helps w perspective relative to the tight seating, & obviously by happenstance; not necessarily a "norm", but someone in the group behind us wore heavy perfume of a scent that agitates cluster headaches in me. I tried to, but couldn't quite, discretely position myself to avoid it. The duration of being in the "scent cloud" pushed my ugly headache situation to the brink of activation. I was internally terrified we may've been seated in close proximity but we were not. 🙂 The food was incredible (chicken & croffles and steak & eggs). The steak wasn't thick but they still prepared it a perfect medium-rare w a mushroom type gravy/sauce. My partner said tho they were but 2 simple over-easy eggs, they were the best ever. My chicken & croffles were served w a sweet glaze and a spicy sweet sauce, both on the side. The chicken was surprisingly & perfectly tender. I prefer iced tea on the lighter side vs super concentrated and theirs was perfect. (It wasn't flavored if you're curious). I wanted to try other things like their potatoes & pancakes but that'll be next time. It's a little pricey for "breakfast" (w tip, for 2 of us, was over $75). We'll be back for sure. What a...
Read moreArrived around 1pm on a Friday no reservations just walked in. There was 7 tables in front of us we waited maybe 10 minutes then we got sat all of a sudden many people must of left and didn’t cross their name off the wait list. Really nice decoration and cute lighting fixtures. Noise level was perfect noisy enough you can’t hear other tables conversation but not so noisy you can’t hear the person across the table from you without raising your voice.
Our server noticed our table was wobbling a little bit and fixed it right away. Great service and very friendly.
Drinks were ok might try their Thai ice tea instead next time.
Ordered promptly after being seated we knew what we wanted, while we were waiting to be seated. Has the basil ribeye and the crab cake Benedict and a creme brûlée French toast for dessert.
Drinks came out right away within 3 minutes and food was pretty fast both the ribeye and crab cakes Benedict came out within 10 minutes or so.
Ribeye is cooked to medium dont think you can change the doneness but it was very delicious. The rice as very fragrant and perfect sunny side up egg.
Crab cake Benedict with a sriracha chipotle hollandaise sauce was tasty nice and crispy crab cake and not too fishy taste or smell.
Definitely would ordered these 2 again.
French toast we ordered right before last call it wasn’t that good. Just a thick pastry creme type sauce slathered on subpar French toast with some sugar brûlée on top. With some fresh berries and walnuts. I wouldn’t recommend ordering this.
Bathrooms was spacious and clean.
Accepts American Express also split bills.
