I wanted us to try somewhere new to eat and picked this place. Inside it looked like a regular restaurant. It even had an upstairs. The gentleman who greeted us was nice and after a while we realized, he seemed to be the only waiter, or doing it all but cooking. They had affordable specials that even included coffee We ordered: Pancake special - Standard staple but tasty
Joe's scramble - mom enjoyed this that she devoured it.
Corn beef hash- Didn't look that appealing but it was delicious. It would've tasted even better if we had a side of rice.
Breakfast burger - my niece enjoyed this and said it was flavorful.
Steak and eggs - I ordered it medium. At first it was juicy and flavorful but then dried out. The onions and mushrooms were a good touch.
Cornflakes french toast - I was s little disappointed, as pretty as it was. It was missing that crunch from the cornflakes.

Read moreThe first time I came into Johnny’s, I was looking to grab a beer and a burger. But they only had a burger. Now they have a beer and wine license. Now they have a solid burger and solid collection of beer on tap (Stella, 805, Lagunitas, pacifico, to name a few), wine (cabernet, merlot, chardonnay) excellent 4.5 out of five rating for the burgers and fries.

Comfortable if you solo, like me. I likely will invite friends next. There is parking on El Camino, in the back, and on side streets. Great low-key, good value, excellent food place to check out! FYI, I sat at the bar area with great service, and the cheese burger and fries were as good as...

The house potatoes were seasoned nicely and good on their own. But the real treat was one of the new crepes - a light chocolate coating on the inside, filled with seasonal fruit, and the crepe itself cooked to have a little crisp on the edges, before a drizzle of caramel. Not too sweet - which I appreciated. Could be breakfast or dessert! All the dishes had lovely presentation - but the prices are more reasonable than a nearby brunch spot. Johnny's vibe is casual & friendly...
