This meal was like getting 3 years put back on my life-just eating all the tiredness and expended effort. At first bite, nothing remarkable. No fancy hummus flavors, no deliciously spicy veggies, no special surprise in the falafel. That's the secret, though. This food was incredibly, incredibly solid. I don't know if there's a word for how solid it was. I ate and ate and when I was done I ordered more. Like comfort food for my past life from Turkey. You can feel it in your ancestors after eating this. Your great-grandmother ghost-cooked this food. I mean, wow. This was incredible. Even the lettuce was delicious. This place should be the standard for this type of food. "Oh, you've never had Mediterranean food before?" And you take them here. Stunt on your friends with your restaurant recommendations. Sleep with every single date by making this place where you eat. Even the garbage here is probably delicious. I'm not even sure I remember the meal after I ate it, only dozens of thoughts I had about describing it so I could properly answer the guy when he asked me how it was (or this review). If someone forced me to have one meal for the rest of my life I'm not sure it would be a bad thing if this was that meal. Also, when I walked in the guy asked me if it was my first time and he said "what kinda food do you like?... Are you vegetarian, or...?" And as a vegetarian that kinda care and recognition is rare and so appreciated. He recommended something for me and taught me about the food and everything. Imagine walking into a place with a dietary restriction and they just straight up have a whole meal plan ready to go. Food was out before I even got back from the bathroom, too. Screw Sol Food and those places you wait like 50 minutes just to get a table at because all you rich folk have the same mentality. Get...

Had to run down to San Rafael for an errand and found this spot by searching "vegetarian San Rafael." I got a bunch of items togo, and ended up digging in halfway back to Santa Rosa. The Falafel burger is soooooo good! When I finally got a chance to sit and enjoy the rest of the food 6 hours had passed, but it was all still so flavorful and delicious I ate until it hurt. And then I ate some more. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The falafel, the green salad (!!!!), and oh man that potato salad was out of this world. The hummus and pita were amazing! I had ordered Nutella baklav and was mildly disappointed when they were out and replaced with Walnut, but it was so freaking good I didn't even miss the Nutella! This is the first time I've ever made a review. That's just how good the food was. I will absolutely be driving down again,...

A wonderful Catering experience! We had a Memorial event for my mother and asked Julie's Hummus Bar & Grill to cater the event. I had never ordered catered food for 50 people before so I was nervous. But with Elias' patient and helpful guidance via phone calls, emails and texts we settled for all the right foods in all the right amounts! Elias delivered the food in nice, disposable serving containers with all the needed serving implements. Each dish was well garnished and beautifully presented. Everyone complimented the delicious food which included dolmas, spanakopita, chicken wraps, falafel, Greek salad, baklava and more. I highly recommend Julie's for your catering needs! We hope to meet Elias and Julie at their restaurant to thank...

Julie was not there -- "she's having a baby." It took 20 minutes one late afternoon to get our food. It was worth it. I've never seen Mediterranean food so beautifully plated. And lots of it. Our chicken shawarma and grilled chicken plates were heaped high with food. We could eat only half of each, the rest was for dinner. Salad were fresh. Hummus was creamy. Big cubes of chicken on one and a pile of chicken pieces on the other, both over white rice turned yellow (turmeric or saffron?). Warms soft pita breads. Everything was delicious.

I have been impressed on both of my visits here. The shawerma wraps are well balanced between the veggies, meat, hummus, tahini, and hot sauce. I felt satiated, but not sluggish, after eating them. The sides of hummus are generous, and quite tasty. It's awesome that they offer so many well priced sizes and flavor options, so you can mix and match with other a la carte options to create your perfect meal. The little bottles of hot sauce sitting on every table are also a nice touch.
