This is a great local spot and a great value. I find myself coming here more and more often and expanding the menu items that I order. My first go-to was the super pollo asado burrito which, is consistently fresh and IMO, better than any other downtown SR taqueria's burritos (order it tortilla dorado so everything is nice and hot). Then I tried their breakfast burrito which is also 2nd to none. Seriously, this is something I look forward to on the weekends now, my wife is a huge fan too. Most recently I got the super carnitas burrito which was very good - once again, tortilla dorado. I've ordered these at the bar "wet style" and sipped cold beers on draft and the bar has a great vibe. The staff is warm, attentive and only serves food when it's fresh from the kitchen. It's clear that everything is made to order. Their habanero salsa is the best around and they sell it in bottles to-go. It's better than sol foods pique if you like a thin acidic hot sauce, and it's got a healthy heat, nothing that will light for hair on fire. Looking forward to trying the tortas/...
Read moreI ordered a burrito from here i was actually impressed. The red sauce they give you is very flavorful and goes well with the burrito. I also ordered an horchata (rice water) it was amazing!
Unfortunately, the service was not the best. The cashier who helped me misunderstood what i ordered over the phone and instead of chips she gave me an order of fries. When i tried to explain to her that i ordered a side of chips to go with my side of beans she wasn't very happy. She got defensive and continued to give me attitude stating they give everyone chips with their order. Well not restaurant gives out chips so i was unaware either way i wanted more for my coworkers side of beans. I was on lunch and did not want to continue to argue with her so i paid for my food and left. When i tried the fries they were soggy and tasted bland.
The food was good but overshadowed by the bad customer service. Definitely will not...
Read moreThere were rocks in my breakfast burritos. When I called and let them know, they told me "Yea, there have been reported incidents lately, they are coming from the black beans, and even though we wash them some still remain there."
WTF?? ARE YOU SERIOUS. My girlfriend cracked her teeth on these rocks and they weren't tiny rocks, they were bean sized!!!
We asked for meal to be refunded as we weren't going to continue eating after that, but they weren't willing to refund all the items.
We should have been warned since they were aware of it.
What a joke. Health standards in Marin are...
