My family and friends of family come to this place a lot for celebrations of birthdays, graduations or just simply for dinner. The food here is delicious though my regular falafel salad seems to have become a little less dense in leafy green mass the last time I went. Still tasted great though. I highly recommend the herbs and feta cheese or the Kashk-E-Bademjan for appetizers. For entrees, all of it is super good. I especially enjoy their grilled tomatoes. The service here is great. My only complaint would be that the young lady that is the waitress there seemed kind of in a bad mood and moved in a bit of an anxious manner that was a bit quick. Her friendliness felt fake and as a previous waitress, I totally get it but I think success comes from being able to fake it to the point where people think you are genuinely in a good mood and happy even if you’re not. But other than that she got orders right, was attentive to the table and seemed to work really hard. I noticed she kept correcting the cooks too. So I think she’s overall great, maybe it was an off day.
In short: great food, good service, true Mediterranean/Persian flavors and food. My family will...
Read moreMy wife was craving Kabab and I said let’s go to Kababbq. We got there and the lady sat us down. I went to the bathroom and when I came out my wife was shivering cause the waitress had opened the door. It was in the 40 out side. When the waitress came back I nicely asked her if it’s ok to close the door. She replied that your wife has a strong perfume and it’s bothering me. My wife had just got out of shower with nothing on!!! Every time she came by she covered her nose!!!! My wife was very upset, I said it’s ok let it be. When she brought the food out I asked her could u plz close the door now cause our food is going to get cold. She gave me a dirty look and covered her mouth and closed the door. Then started telling the delivery guy and the cooks very loudly about the strong smell. She then had the delivery guy go and open the door again!! I never give bad reviews but this was beyond rude. My family are in restaurant business and I had worked over 8 years in this business. There is no explanation for such behavior. This was my last time going to this place and I’ll make sure to let all my fiends and family to...
Read moreCame here because 1) great reviews on Yelp and 2) Yelp offered a deal for this place- $30 for $15. Take advantage of the deal while you can!
The strip this restaurant is on is a bit sketchy at night but has some of the best ethnic restaurants in Marin. This is the best Mediterranean I've found in Marin so far, but don't come here expecting fluffy pita. They serve a flatbread instead, which tastes like flat form of pita. I actually prefer my wraps in the flatbread because the bread doesn't overwhelm the deliciousness inside.
If you can't decide what to get for starters, get the trio and choose three small dishes! Lamb and beef were delicious-- I'll have to try falafael and baklava next time.
Pros: Great food and variety. Good service, skilled waitress. Cons: Slightly uncomfortable booths. Sold out of baklava when dessert is the most...
