Ownership down my old review which was of me bringing in my system for diagnosis and then giving me a fair assessment of how much it would cost to diagnose, but bashing my custom PC build based on personal choices that made sense for me. They’re knowledgeable, but stuck up and it seemed like they had a god complex.

If I tell you the system isn’t thermal throttling, it’s not thermal throttling. You don’t have to go “oh your case is small and stupid you should buy a bigger one,” especially after I explained the reason I got a smaller one is portability. It got to the point where it was downright insulting.

There’s local options with better customer service (one of which helped me diagnose the issue over the phone in 5 minutes). Only reason they don’t get one star is that they were honest about how much it would cost and that’s something I have to give them credit for.

The logic board on my 2011 Macbook Pro failed and I went into Applied Computer during the week prior to final exams with the greatest of optimism that I would see my device made available to me in time to avoid having to plead with any one of my professors. Applied Computers did everything possible to enable my optimism to become a reality. I received my computer fully fixed and on time. While the logic board was the greatest concern they also did an excellent job replacing my keyboard which had a number of faulty keys, and did so in the same window of time as they had prescribed for the logic board only. My son used his MacbookPro Retina Display as a DJ platform at a college party. Needless to say, by the end of the night, it was sitting in beer and had candle wax on it. Apple pretty much wanted the moon to take it apart, so i took it to Applied. Carlos is amazing. The first thing he said was, "this computer is too nice NOT to fix it and I will get that done". He fixed it on time, on budget and when I picked it up, it looked brand new. It will now be my office video editing deck!
