Sharetea — Restaurant in San Rafael

ShareTea is probably the best boba place in Marin. Definitely not in the Bay Area. I have gone here a lot over the years since they opened and I usually have good experiences. The woman who runs the place is definitely not the friendliest but it doesn’t particularly bother me as long as the boba is tasty. 9 time out of 10 it’s usually good but more recently I’ve been having a lot of bad experiences. More recently, the boba I had didn’t taste very good or sweet, bits of it were hard and not really edible. I spit it out. My tea tasted like water and even though it should have been regular sweetness levels, it had no sweetness at all. But other times I go and it’s delicious and perfect.

TLDR; Only place in Marin for good boba, is sometimes hit or miss on the boba and drink quality.

I mean, it's good but that's easy to add sugar to milk. Everyone that works here sucks. Every single time without fail, every single person working here is so rude every single time and when they messed up my order they blamed it on me 😂 I just bought another one not to be rude and mocked the owner making sure to take my receipt the second time. I've been coming to this place once in a while for over 5 years and the lady that bought it a while ago genuinely seems like one of the most miserable people you will ever meet and she hires people with the same attitude. I don't know if it's contagious but definitely don't come here if you're already having a good day. When I tell you this is the best boba I’ve had in my life— I’m not exaggerating. Across 10 states and 3 countries (over 320 boba spots) none come close to comparing to this specific ShareTea. Not all ShareTeas are the same, and the owner here is doing everything right. The taste of the tea, ratio of milk, sweetness, boba consistency, etc. is consistently perfect and I’ve yet to find a match anywhere else. My go to order is a classic black milk tea with 50% sugar, normal ice, and boba. Other drinks that are great here are the strawberry ice blended with boba and lychee and 50% sugar, and the Kiwi Fruit Tea with Lychee and 0% sugar (because the fruit juice is already sweet— and it’s real! has seeds in it!).
