Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in San Ramon

I always go to this restaurant because it happens to be the only one around. So I frequent it often. The inside is always clean and the restrooms are well keps. The speed of getting your order is also good. This is why the two stars.

It just so happens that I went there on Sunday morning and purchased a Monster biscuit. I can tell it was very hot in the bag but once I took it out to eat, it was very tough. The bread was tough as leather. It spoiled my entire meal.

I went back in the afternoon and ordered a Star #2 combo. I asked for NO ICE in my drink. The man responded back to me with "No onions on my burger." I then repeated what I had said by telling him he had gotten it wrong. Then he said to me, "Yes, that's what I said." No, it wasn't what you said. I repeated it again and then proceeded forward to pay for it. I then paid for it and then was handed my drink. YEP! Ice in my drink. I then checked my bag and sure enough, NO ONIONS on my burger. SPIT IN MY FOOD! I’ve tried to order from this supposed 24 hour location after Midnight 3 times. 1st time I was told from the drive thru speaker the computers were down. 2nd time I sat at the speaker waiting with no answer, so I pulled to the window and knocked multiple times. Nothing. The lite sign says open. So I parked waited 15 minutes and drove through again. Same thing nothing. So I parked wen to the front door and knocked. I then saw a employee poke his head out but didn’t acknowledge me. 3rd time. I ordered through DoorDash at 2 AM. The door dasher waited at the drive-through for 23 minutes with no one else in line. I receive the food and I open the burger and there was obviously lots of spit in it. Definitely not the driver for 2 reasons, one the bag was sealed, and two I tipped the Dasher $10 on the app. I will be taking this to small claims...

When inside and being the only customer the employee whom answers calls for the drive thru improperly is handling food by picking up food for my order and others with his bare hands which are not clean. I asked for a new order where two other employees that used gloves prepared my order. The manager talked to me and said the employee tried to help with the order and not touch your food with his bare hands but did nevertheless. This is unacceptable so maybe the health inspector needs to visit this location. Said employee did not care to use gloves and seemed irritated I did not accept it under those conditions.
