The Kebab Shop — Restaurant in San Ramon

I just popped into 'The Kebab Shop' briefly while in the area for business and I have to say thay I was very pleasantly surprised! Not only was I immediately greeted with a clean feeling and smelling shop (not greasy in the air, like some places which can linger on your clothes heavily), as well as a nice, tight menu.

I ordered the 'plate', that came with one protein and two sides, which in my case meant the lamb and beef kebab, tabouli, and falafel. The meat was great, the tabouli was flavorful and fresh (so it had a nice texture), and the falafel were great. In fact, rayther than just the standard ground chickpeas, the falafel had some fresh chick peas mixed in as well, which was a nice twist and texture addition.

Most of all they were fast and actively cleaned even during lunch service. As an added bonus, the sinks are easily accessible as an open design between the bathrooms so you don't have to touch any handle and can easily wash your hands before eating. This was a very welcome and considerate addition to store layout!

I absolutely loved the meal I had the other day. It was well seasoned without being salty. I ordered the chicken tenderloin for my protein choice and was nice and tender . Not dried out or stringy, like some chicken breast can be when cooked on a grill. The saffron rice was fluffy and had a very nice flavor to it without being heavy on the spices. And the young lady that took my order was extremely helpful to me. I was on my mobility device and it's not always easy to go in and find a seat where I can sit at the table and still keep my scooter nearby. But she sat me in an area where I could be comfortable and she hurried to get the table ready for me. The young lady's name is Kai.
